Dean Lazar and team provided no help after I was overcharged nearly an hour. The movers stopped at a gas station and then took 30 minutes to do the paper work at the end all the while being charged at $200 an hour. Just add on an hour for negligence for whatever the estimate is. They are just lying, don't listen to their edits of the review

Really great company and service. They were very informative and they communicated very well. During the move, I did not have to do anything. I just told them what needed to be taken. They did amazing and was very quick.

Unprofessional - Do not use **update - absolutley no updates or communication. We asked if there were any updates on our move and received a response of "no updates"**We used this company to move. They picked up our stuff after giving us very little notice of when they were going to arrive. They arrived at almost 6pm and moved until almost midnight which our apartment neighbors loved. Since they have picked up our stuff they have failed to give ANY updates on when it will arrive. They didn't label the boxes with numbers or scan stickers like other reputable companies. I've literally moved countries and my things arrived in shorter time with better communication. This company is awful. I've moved 10+ times and this is by far the worst. They keep saying ridiculous things like the truck is in the shop, we have too much stuff for a single truck (they picked it up in a single truck). I'm quite literally not sure if my belongings are ever going to show up and if everything will show up. Pick a different company because this one is unprofessional and disorganized.

save your self the headache! They broke my dresser and scratched my couch. not to mention, one of the movers complained the entire time. They hire undocumented workers and barely pay them! Don't support this business!

Zip Van Lines, in the end, did good. However, they do not adhere to their own advertisements. When you call by phone there is a recording describing how they understand how moving can be stressful and that they will help to take that stress away. But, that is where it ends. Once you're a client, they won't take your calls or respond to email or texts. Try to get a firm date for packing, pickup or delivery, forget it, everything is on their terms and you are just another bother. If it wasn't for some good guys on the trucks, I would have rated them "0".

I’m writing this review with tears in my eyes, I found zip moving company online, I was searching for a good moving company but it became my worst nightmare they over charge you and you have zero access to your stuff, but that’s the least of my worries, they had my furniture for 9 months and just last week they delivered my stuff and everything was filled with mold, my bed, dresser, bed side tables, wall arts decor, pots, pillows, blankets etc. I informed them about it and the really didn’t care, they offer me $200, when they destroyed thousands of dollars worth of stuff now sadly I have to take them to court for them to pay. See photos below do not use this company it’s a scam! I would of given them zero star if I could

Zip Moving & Storage canceled on me at 9 a.m. the morning of my move with no backup crew available. After confirming everything, they left me completely stranded at the last minute. Thankfully, Knight Movers stepped in the same day and saved the move. Zip was unreliable and unprofessional — I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I recently moved from Georgia to Wisconsin and Zip Moving and Storage moved and stored my items. My bill of lading shows Zip Van Lines Rockville, MD 1-855-947-6543. I can't say that Zip if the worst moving company as I don't have experience with all of them. However, I will never use them again and I will never recommend them to anyone. In fact, I would discourage anyone from using them at all. In addition to the move, I paid for a full pack and they stored my items for about 6 weeks. Based on the condition of my items, they do not know how to pack and they aren't careful with storage. I have more than $3,000 of broken, missing or destroyed items. The bulk of this is the quote to repair my 130+ year old piano that belonged to my grandmother. They broke a foot pedal off the piano. How? Additionally, the packer didn't know how to pack dishes and wrapped stacks of plates, saucers, etc rather than wrapping them individually. This led to a lot of breakage of my inherited china. Many of the boxes were crushed when I received them as if heavier items had been stacked on top. Also missing are a pair of 35-pound dumbbells with red rubber grips. How did they misplace those? As stated, they stored my items for about 6 weeks but boxes are not labeled with a name. No doubt that it why I ended up with missing items and with other folks' boxes. Why not put a last name on boxes going to storage? However, my biggest complaint is not about all the broken or missing items but rather the fact than an employee of this company shared my personal information (address and phone number) with another customer. I did not give permission for my information to be shared. For some background, when Zip delivered my items they included a box belonging to someone else. Zip elected not to send an employee to pick up the box but rather for me to send it USPS. The post master made a special trip to my home for pickup but Zip had not provided me with a postage paid label so he was unable to take the box. I emailed Zip to let them know they needed to send someone to pick it up but got no response from them. My next contact was from the owner of the box who called me. The only way she had my phone number was if Zip gave it to her. She also had my address as she arranged a pickup by UPS. Again, I did not give permission for my information to be shared. I wrote Zip about this breach shortly after delivery and complained to the BBB. As of today, (6 months after the move) I have not heard anything from either of them. It seems that once Zip gets paid, they no longer care about customer service. Avoid this company if you value your possessions and privacy.

The loading & unloading crew was awesome! Nothing was broken and they moved us in a timely manor. The quote range was right on target. However, we were disappointed with communication from the office. Zip packed us on Sunday AM, stored our truckload overnight, and were supposed to show up to unload on Monday at 4:30 pm after our closing. We had difficulty contacting anyone after hours when our truck didn’t arrive. We were beginning to panic because we had no bed to sleep in! Finally the crew leader (who loaded the truck) called me back after numerous calls and texts. Luckily, he was able to get a crew and unload that night at 7:15pm. No word YET from the office to explain what happened. Not a straight story on what the issue was. If the crew leader had not called me back who knows when our furniture would have arrived. Poor communication - but otherwise a good move.

Absolutely the worst moving experience I've ever had. We specifically told this company everything that needed to be moved--including that we have a newborn and would need some items packed for us. Two movers showed up, and one immediately said "Nope, we can't do this." I was stunned. He called his boss, and the boss told us they'd need to send two more guys and that it would cost more. We agreed, but when we tried to call back, nobody answered. My husband went outside to check, and the movers had simply driven off without saying a word. When we called the company, their response was basically "sorry, nothing we can do." That's it. No accountability, no attempt to fix the situation. We were left scrambling, stressed, and furious--after already packing and preparing everything for our baby. This company wasted our time, left us stranded on moving day, and showed zero professionalism or compassion. If you value your time, money, or sanity, stay far away from this company. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful.

Multiple days to load, which was never communicated, creating delays for us and causing issues with me being able to complete work assignments. A missing truck—we were told our items would arrive today and one truck full of items, include my work set up is entirely MIA. Along with this, furniture is broken beyond repair from water damage while being moved. Adding additional charges. This place is dangerous and will cost you more financial, emotionally, and stress than just moving yourself. I could have done what they did in less than half the time, it’s a shame how awful this has been. Update: mover took until 2AM, still missing a bunch of stuff. At one point we were told our items were in Atlanta and after breaking the AI bot, found out they were still in MD with no expected delivery date. This has been the worst experience I have had with any company. Save yourself the headache, stress, and broken items and go with someone else or do it yourself. Finally get the remainder of the items a week and a half later—almost all the book shelves were broken, desk chair broken, wooden chest and solid wood book shelf damaged, countless large items broken beyond repair, items labeled fragile were packed upside down, I could go on and on. Along with this, they clearly overwork their workers and under pay them—creating unrealistic schedules that leads to these issues. This company should be shut down. Please save yourself the stress, headache, property damage, and complete lack of professionalism by going with a different company.
