Don’t let the 4.7 review fool you. View my photos where you can clearly see when the movers were supposed to show up. I asked for 9am. They came at 3:35. I took the entire day off. The communications were horrible and when I asked to escalate I was provided an email. To which Skyler never lived up to her promise to compensate me for my troubles. The moblvers Yobder and Juan were excellent. Company sucks. Call Zip if you want to get Ripped!

moving coordinators could not be reached when we had questions. My farmhouse dining table was badly damaged. The damage was intentional, not accidental. Zip uses subcontractors for long distance moves. Quality suffers. I would not recommend!

We have been repeated calling zip movers since Saturday and Sunday and left multiple voicemails , no one returned our call, because we wanted to confirm the time they are available for our day of move in. So we paid a deposit for our move in the following Friday that less that 7 days before our move in date.'Monday, they are only available at a certian time EA 12 pm to 3 pm. Our condo Hoa only allows move up to 4pm. Now I asked for the deposit back , I was told thats less than 10 days till the move and the contract said non binding yet they will keep my deposit.''I tried to reach Lazar Dean and left multiple voicemails but he cant be reached. I spoke with Steven Lensky and said that now that I booked It is difficult to get hold of anyone- I am worried if I book with you and theres a last minute thing you cant be reached !'Still waiting for call back form Lazar Dean.

Used Zip for our local move. Set up process was fairly easy, they will even do a Zoom with you to help give you a better estimate. They worked well with our budget and helped me to pick a day that was the most cost effective. On moving day the crew showed up on time and were extremely polite, efficient and very professional. I'd definitely use them again.

I used Zip Moving and Storage for a local move. From the beginning their customer service was great. They were responsive, thoroughly explained everything, and also extremely reasonably priced. They also give you a personal moving coordinator that gives you a call the week before to confirm everything. The move itself was also very easy. My movers were Alex and Isaac. They were INCREDIBLE! They gave me a call 30 minutes before arrival. They took everything apart and wrapped it extensively. When they got to the new place they made sure everything was where we wanted it and even brought the boxes to their respective rooms on the third floor. They also reassembled everything. My one critique is for the business. They will only give the movers a bonus if you provide a picture of them moving. Most people do not want to ask to take pictures and also don't feel comfortable taking a picture without their permission. Luckily I was able to sneak a photo of them but I don't think it's fair to base the movers bonus on people taking pictures. I seriously cannot thank Alex and Isaac enough!

Based on our experience, The best thing to do is avoid these guys. I am still waiting to hear anything about the complaint I filed with their customer service dept. They failed to take several of the things on our list big things like the fridge and washer dryer, so we had to scramble to figure that out. The guys who moved us worked hard and we tipped the crew, but there were multiple communication issues stemming mostly from a poorly executed estimate. Nothing is final price-wise with this company. The worst of it was a last minute call - while the movers were here - saying they would not move our piano. They had it in the estimate and even charged $250 for a 'bulky item' fee but said there was nothing that could be done. Not good since or remodel was to begin the next morning. Only after an hour of discussion did they make another crew show up, (one of the new crew said they were made to show for free), so they would have enough guys to move the piano. They charged me another $100 on top of the bulky item fee. They only would take cash or cashier's check, but couldn't tell me a final price. If you used a credit card, they wanted an additional 4% on top of the total cost. Finally on the move back in, the team leader got really pissed with me when I pressed him for a price so I could run to the bank before closing to make sure I had the cash. Poor estimate. Poor explanation of actual costs, poor execution, no resolution or call back on the issues. Keep looking.

This was the most horrible moving experience out of my adult life at 49 years old! This company and their employees are scammers! I was quoted a minimum and maximum price for packing and moving over the phone. I paid $170 deposit. Jessica text and called me numerous times to ensure everything was accounted for to be moved, location. Etc. She was extremely thorough. The morning of they brought an additional person n I changed my contract and hourly rate because it was promised by Alejandro it would be less time. It was 5 or 6 men and it took them from 9–almost 5 to arrive to my new apartment 15 minutes away no traffic. They moved me out of a 2 bedroom apartment. I spent the night on the hard floor with nothing because they chose not to move anything in since the garage automatically closed at 6. They missed their window to move my things in. I was back and forth with Nicki over the phone before they left that evening and that morning. No complimentary hotel stay for me but I’m sorry and I’m charging you more money for coming back tomorrow. She said that would be an additional 8 hours! I was beside myself yelling and threatening to sue! She wouldn’t allow me to talk to the owner. The morning arrived and she attempts to coerce me into signing off on paying $1000 plus more dollars. I refused. I go down stairs and her men are standing around n sitting down. I at this time am seeing red because she’s told her men to pack up my belongings and take them back to their place! I call 911 and the police come. I sit on the ramp so they can not load anymore of my furniture! The police look at the contract I screenshot they had me sign on line and the other forms I signed. I was calm and listened to the owner lie about why the job wasn’t finished on Friday per the contract! There’s a domino effect. My sport car now has a boot on it because there was so much drama that occurred to where my leasing agent, an angel sent from God and my son, we couldn’t get my car registered at my new apartment. I was in a deep sleep when my things were finally in because I really didn’t sleep the night before laying on a hard floor with no pillow, cover nothing! The parking garage Empire has booted my car. I’ve called them 4 or 5 times today! I haven’t eaten anything but some chips n drank Cokes from Friday morning to now Sunday Memorial Day Weekend. This is a disastrous weekend because Empire wants money they’re not getting from me yet I can’t go out n get the required medication I need for my health or food today. All because this moving company are thieves and robbers! Choose an honest company because these reviews have got to be fake! They deserve-100 star review! Charlene Hunter Haynes

I do not recommend Zip Moving and Storage. They are careless with your furniture, your property, and they are scheming crooks. I booked this moving company, informed them of the inventory to be packed and moved, and upon the driver showing up he states that although the inventory remained the same, the incorrect price for packing material was given to me and that it would be an additional $300+. He stated that the company often does this and he is the one customers become angry with when he shows up for the move. I immediately called the company to get this cleared and so the movers could not start the work. They informed me to pay and they will refund me afterwards, which I should not have but I did only to get the move started. Once the move was completed the mover once again tells me there is another additional charge for the loss time spent with him and I on the phone with the company to correct the company's incorrect invoice (Packing material price). This is insane. Had the correct invoice been provided there would be no loss time. He calls the company and they inform him to write on the invoice "DM" for dismissal of the charges. He then initials next to it and I do the same. Once the movers leave I noticed one of the posts to my house was damaged. I reviewed my security camera and see that one of the movers carrying my very large mattress by himself lost control of it causing the damage. I emailed the photos/videos of the damage to the company and they are denying even with the video clearly showing the mover damaging the post. In addition to that they are denying that the mover dismissed the additional moving time and take no ownership of their mistake. Definitely a "Bait and Switch" and unethical company. There are so many other reputable companies to use. I do not recommend Zip Moving and Storage.

These guys are amazing.. Met them thru american van lines. American van lines booked our move but then subbed it out to them... I would've gone straight to the source, these dudes work and take pride in their work.. Highly recommend

My experience w/Zip Storage & Moving was an Outstanding 5 Star Experience. It not only began with the Manager, & office personnel in setting up the moving date as well as working with me thru this move; but my three movers were outstanding! Eduardo, Daniel, & Alvaro arrived on time, professional took great care of my furniture & followed through with everything that I had with the manager. All three were efficient in doing their job, amicable to my unexpected request and job was completed within estimated time. Please excuse & know that the lateness of my review is only due to my playing catchup.

We are very happy we chose zip moving. We were assigned the Rico group. This group of men, led by Mario truly treated our furniture and contents as carefully as if they owned them. They removed all glass shelves etc and packed them seperate. Then wrapped all furniture to protect it adding cardboardtpthe sides of glass cabinets to better protect from breakage. They also used foam and bubble wrap where necessary to better protect some antigue items we had, yet they were very fast and grtting everything ready to move. After loading the items on the truck they further added padding becore strappin. When unloading they were just as carefiul yo make sure nothing was damaged during thr move.g the furniture inside the truck.

I recently moved from Atlanta, GA to Pennsylvania with Zip Moving! They were the company that got back to me the fastest with a quote and were the best priced by far! I didn’t have too many things to move, so the minimum weight/payment required by many other interstate moving companies would have been a huge and unnecessary financial burden, so I’m very grateful to Zip Moving! On top of that, I got a discount. The moving process from booking to finally receiving my items went so incredibly smoothly. Everyone gets back to you quickly. I got a video survey that was pretty accurate to the final weight of my items, so my binding estimate was spot on. Nemanja and Eldar were my movers for pickup and drop-off, and they were very efficient and dealt wonderfully with the incredibly long walk in my apartment building between my place and the loading dock. They (and my moving coordinator, Nikki) also worked around my apartment building’s schedule for pick up, which I was very grateful for. Everything arrived at the destination within a week and in the same condition as they were when I saw them last. Overall, moving with Zip was a great experience and I would definitely use them again!
