Having the euthanasia service at home was an incredible experience. It provided comfort and peace for both my aunt's dog (Abby) and my aunt. Dr Ray was compassionate and professional, making a difficult time much more bearable by allowing the family to say goodbye in a familiar and loving environment.

I had the pleasure of coming across Zen Dog while searching for euthanasia options for my childhood buddy. One of the most painful things I could do to my old buddy was made easier by Dr. Spragley. I was definitely hesitant at first because, who really wants to be considering options like this? But in the end I can assure those reading this is one of the best possible routes you could go. Not only was he able to make my boys final moments comforting, peaceful, and not scary, but he was also very professional in his work and made sure we knew of everything he would be doing. His professional and calm demeanor helped me get through the process a lot. It's been almost 2 weeks since I said goodbye to my baby and Dr. Ray was an absolute gem in helping make this process as peaceful as can be. I always knew when this time came I did not want to say goodbye to my baby at the hospital, I wanted to hold her and have her pass at home with me in peace. I looked into another service but the reviews for Dr. Ray is what convinced me to go with him and I'm so glad I did. His response time was exceptional and he explained everything in detail. When the day of came he was so compassionate and didn't rush us or make us feel any kind of way, I especially appreciated how he wrapped her so nicely to take her with him. Another thing I appreciated is he contacted my vet to let them know of Sadie's passing, I wasn't looking forward to making that call so I'm really glad he took care of that for me. I received her ashes back in a timely manner and would recommend him 100%. You will be pleased and at peace that you did.

I really cannot overstate how professional Dr. Spragley is. Obviously this was a horrible time in our life, and the last thing I wanted was my cat’s last experience on earth to be in fear or severe pain. I don’t think it could have gone any better. The Dr. showed up a few minutes early to our place in Manhattan and let us play with our cat until we were ready, then he injected her with the pain medication and the cat wanted to play with him a little bit while she was falling asleep. I don’t think our cat even noticed the initial needle being injected. After our cat was asleep he injected her with the second medication and waited until she passed away in her sleep while I had my hand on her. My wife wanted to clean our cat before she left and he let her, then he wrapped our cat in a blanket and put her in a basket and left. I really am grateful to Dr. Spragley, his job must be extremely difficult, he saw us on 1 day notice when no other vet would and allowed our cat to leave this world with dignity in peace. I’m happy we did the at-home euthanasia because our cat was not in any stress and got to pass in an environment she was comfortable in, on her blanket. We will miss you Chickpea.

Dr. Ray was very quick to respond to my inquiry to assist our beloved family dog with her path across the rainbow bridge. He was quick, professional, personable, and very informative about the process. Highly recommend his services for your difficult times for your loved ones.

We had to let our pup go last week; I've always heard "its the hardest thing I've ever done." In our case, the lead up was the excruciating part but the end was sweet, nothing left unsaid. Dr. Ray and Zen Dog helped us say goodbye in the most compassionate and relieving way - I can't recommend him and his at home services more. From the consultation to explanation of the process to flexibility on timing due to a quicker downturn than expected, Dr. Ray was calmly reassuring with timely communication and respectfully entered an intimate moment being supportive without being intrusive. I'll forever be grateful for our final goodbye.

As many of us know making the choice to put your best friend to sleep isnt always the easiest but Dr.Ray made the process very simple and comfortable and he is very compassionate. For our 12 year old Pitbull Mickey, Dr.Ray explained the whole process and made it as comfortable as possible for all of us. Dr. Ray was available on short notice to help send my cat over the rainbow bridge. He was extremely compassionate and respectful in my small Brooklyn apartment space, giving me and my loved ones time to say goodbye. He also did a foam pawprint for us. I highly recommend his services.

Few days ago we had to make the decision to let go of our precious 7yeat old cat. On that morning we were desperate trying to find someone to come to our home. Dr Ray responded quickly and gave us the last few hours to be with our baby. He guided us through the process and gave us all the time to pay our last goodbyes. Dr.Ray was solemn calm caring respectful of our pain. He took care of our baby with dignity and compassion. Our baby crossed over in peace and in our arms. We are forever grateful to have felt the last heartbeat of our cat and to know that after he left us his remains were going to be taken care of with dignity and love. Thank u Dr. Ray.
