Requested a standard proforma invoice for a concrete order and was ready to pay immediately via bacs, I was then told they would not issue a proforma because of a previous “late payment” — despite that invoice having been paid the same day, prior to the concrete being delivered.
Refusing to provide a proforma for an upfront payment order feels unreasonable and unnecessarily obstructive.
We placed the order instead with Heidelberg Materials UK — £38 per cubic metre cheaper, accepted Amex, and handled everything professionally without any friction.
One thing that’s clear as day, with their huge margins they treat customers like trash.

We do provide proforma invoices; however, we no longer accept payment after delivery. We do accept all major credit cards, including Amex, on a pre-authorization basis, and there would not have been any issue processing your order, even considering the previous late payment you mentioned.

Decent company very proactive staff, lorry arrived on time and driver was very helpful with our guys on site. Would use them again 100% didn’t mind a slight incline on the drive and did their best to get as close as they could to where we needed them

Arrange for concrete, pump & team to level my wrap around extension on our bungalow. The team arrived early/promptly set up the hoses and laser levels. The 1st concrete load arrived just after and the commenced the pour, working efficiently checking levels all the time, 3 loads later they had completed the pouring of the slab leaving it perfectly level throughout. They tidied & cleaned all their equipment and hosed down the frontage where they parked. I can recommend Wotmix and the pump team 100% costs were competitive and they did a fantastic job.

We had this company deliver ready-mixed concrete for one of our customers, where we were building a shed base. The process with Jenny over email and phone was smooth and easy, and on the day, Lee was great. We would definitely recommend and use this company again.

Unfortunately the mix did not contain enough water so it was almost impossible to get a level surface.
On leaving the representitive proceeded to dump a load of left over concrete in our garden hedge, all over flowers, leaves and a rockery. I watched from the upstairs window in shock. This is really not good practice at all. By the time I'd come downstairs, he'd gone.
