We had all our windows redone by Window Boutique and specifically requested stainless steel fittings, as we live in a coastal town. The beaded strings for the blinds were initially plastic and couldn’t handle the weight. The replacements rusted within a month. The blinds are extremely tight, roll up skew, and one floor-to-ceiling blind does not roll up at all. The curtain rods also rusted because they weren’t stainless steel as requested. Worst of all, the blinds were screwed into our frameless Sunflex door frame, irreparably damaging the track. We had to pay R800 to have it repaired. When we contacted Window Boutique to reinstall the blinds correctly, the customer service was poor, and the damage was not acknowledged or fixed. Overall, very disappointing workmanship and after-sales support.

Despite being in contact with the company for over a month regarding damage they caused to our Sunflex frame, the issue remains unresolved. The company is now demanding a R1 000 call-out fee to address their own mistake, even though their actions have already resulted in damage exceeding R8 000. It is disappointing to see the company publicly deny knowledge of the customer involved instead of taking responsibility and providing proper after-sales support.

The product itself carries a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials, but this does not cover damage or incorrect handling by third parties after installation.
The current issue occurred after another company removed and re-hung the blinds during your renovations. Despite this being outside our scope and warranty, we visited free of charge to assess, then issued a transparent R1150 quote for re-installation to restore full function.
We’ve also noticed multiple negative reviews posted within hours of each other from accounts in Canada and South Africa using similar phrasing appearing to originate from the same household. We value genuine feedback, but coordinated review campaigns misrepresent our service to future customers.
We’re still ready to help. Please accept the quote and we’ll schedule the repair immediately.

Rust, damage and poor after-sales support from Window Boutique
We had all our windows redone by Window Boutique. Since our property is located in a coastal town, we specifically requested that all fittings be made from stainless steel to prevent rust damage. Unfortunately, our experience has been very disappointing.
The beaded strings for the blinds were initially made of plastic and could not support the weight of the blinds. The replacement metal beads began rusting within a month. The blinds themselves are extremely tight, often rolling up skew and damaging the material. One floor-to-ceiling blind doesn’t roll up at all.
The curtain rods also rusted because they were not made from stainless steel as requested. Most concerning was the damage caused to our frameless Sunflex doors — the blinds were attached directly to the main frame with screws, which irreparably damaged the track. We had to pay R8000 for repairs through Sunflex.
When we contacted Window Boutique to reinstall the blinds correctly, the customer service was extremely poor. The damage was not acknowledged or resolved.
Overall, we are deeply dissatisfied with both the workmanship and customer service received, especially given our clear specifications for coastal durability.

I was very indecisive and Anke went the extra mile until I got my dream vision. The team checked in regularly, and the customisation was a swift 2-3 weeks. The final result? Beyond happy! Honestly exceed our expectations. The attention to detail, kindness, and the entire team were so great they blew us away. They even steamed everything for that perfect finish.
