I had the most exceptional service I could ever have received. I started with a different firm that treated me horribly and tried to charge me for matters not even related to my case while I was in shock from a violent and deeply personal incident. Jeanne Christensen responded within 45 minutes of my call, reviewed hundreds of pages of evidence and communications immediately that night, reviewed her assessment with me with sensitivity to my emotional state and immediate responsibilities to my young children, took care of everything with the prior firm so I didn’t even need to communicate with them again, and took on my case with professionalism, clarity, empathy, and absolute tenacity. Throughout the years of my complex case and personal recovery, she was available literally 24/7. She included me in every step that mattered, and protected me from involvement at every point possible. My life would have been completely different without her and the Wigdor team. I was able to personally heal and professionally recover and I cannot recommend this firm enough. They are incredible legal bulldogs in addition to highly ethical practitioners.
I reached out to this firm on July 21, 2025 regarding complex, multi-layered civil claims tied to deeply sensitive matters. While there were multiple aspects to my situation, there was one critical matter I hoped to pursue: I am stepping forward as the second known victim of the same entities currently being challenged by a first survivor represented by another high-powered firm.
While I am still learning the nuances of civil litigation and was unsure if I presented my case in the strongest legal framing, the Wigdor team handled my inquiry with respect, professionalism, and ethical transparency, responding the same day. While a little disappointing, they ultimately could not take my case due to workload and their case selection process. Despite that, the courtesy and clarity they extended allowed me to move forward without additional harm, something every survivor deserves.
This was unlike my experience with Mr. Ben Rubinowitz and his assistant Tiffany Deas whose firm Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf is representing the first known victim, which they initially requested sensitive information from me and then disengaged in a harmful and unethical way, despite their ongoing work on a related case. The Wigdor team’s prompt, respectful, and ethical handling gave me closure and reinforced the importance of transparency and professionalism in legal representation. I even thanked them on July 22, 2025.
I am deeply appreciative of this firm’s integrity and the important work they continue to do for survivors.
This review is just based off of the lack of communication I received from Brooke Payton. After speaking with me during the intake process, she told me she would follow up with me within 2-3 days. I waited. After 3 days I started to call and email her. Finally after many emails and calls she ended up emailing me back saying they couldn’t take my case. Fair. Not here to make judgment on that. But the fact that I called and called and emailed her …then to get an email from her 2 weeks later rejecting my case….And this was literally 10 minutes after I left a message for her on her voicemail.
Where is her professionalism? You are an attorney. You will have to deliver good and bad news to people. You cant And shouldn’t hide behind a keyboard.
My suggestion to you , is to be approachable and compassionate. Don’t make people wait. And don’t coward behind a email. Make that call to someone. A phone call goes a long way.
Again this isn’t because you rejected My case. Things happen. Rejection happens.
