Our family of 7 had a wonderful time on the Sunset Cruise. They are very knowledgeable about the wildlife, natural landmarks, history and funny stories about the lakes. The kids, teens and adults in our family all enjoyed ourselves. The games room was also a big hit with the pool table, shuffle board table, darts and of course tasty snacks. If you are looking for a low key family outing with wonderful hosts Widgawa is for you.

Amazing service! Answered all my questions and helped us with everything we needed. It was our first trip and we came back later than hoped. They answered emails from my friend and called her when we arrived to let her know we were ready for pick up. Cute location. You travel down a little creek to the lakes which is a nice little calm start to a pretty awesome adventure. Conveniently located and easy to find.

We spent one evening at the lodge prior to entering the park for a backcountry canoe trip in Killarney Provincial Park for 5 days. Widgawa is an official entry point into the park and an excellent outfitter for canoe rentals. The cabins are kept pristine and have all that is needed (running water, basic kitchen and bedroom). The location is secluded and lovely. The staff (Stacey & John) go the extra mile for their guests. We've come for several years and it only gets better and we see continuing maintenance improvements under way.

Our stay at Widgawa Lodge was brief as we just used it as a jump-off to the Heavens Gate Trail. But I just wanted to say that Darren was instrumental in making our whole trip possible. He went out of his way to help us find a shuttle to the trailhead and even arranged a call/info session with someone who knew more about the trail as there is little info on the web. It was a fantastic backpacking trip and it would not have happened without Darren, his knowledge of the area and his fantastic neighbour. We would not hesitate to use Widgawa lodge again.

Darren and John went way above and beyond expectations when we got our truck stuck on a nearby trail and were able to get us to the lodge in time for our canoe trip. Amazing people and amazing place!

We pre booked everything online, and Darren had everything ready for us upon arrival. He was very kind and explained all the rental procedures for us. We did a 4 day portage trip in Killarney which was a great experience, and launching from Widgawa was easy. Only downside was we were not told that we arrived at the start of their 'Self Serve' season, luckily they were still closing up the lodge when we arrived. An earlier heads up on that would've been appreciated, but everything else was great.

Sometimes you get lucky and visit a place where that wonderful feeling that you get on holiday continues well after your visit has ended. Magical, comes to mind. A return to simpler days, where the most important priorities were shall we go for a walk; wait for the evening darkness to fall and sit by the light of the campfire; or relax with nothing to do except absorb the quietness of the historic cabins. Widgawa Lodge & Outfitters offers great walking trails, boat rentals and river access to the west Killarney Park entrance. In addition, it has a common lodge where guests can play pool, enjoy board games in the evening or begin the day with a great cup of coffee. We stayed in the “AY Jackson” cabin for two nights in early October 2023 (Group of Seven fans). Most especially, we enjoyed the hospitality, friendliness, and experience of the Widgawa crew who made us feel completely at home. Time feels slower here. That is a great reason to come back. A well organised and well structured vacation resort for hiking, camping, canœing & fishing.

By far the best way the access Killarney and the BEST outfitters ever. Beautiful location, canoes were prestine, the new owners are the nicest people you'll ever meet i really can't say enough good things. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone... what a joy, cant wait to come back in 2024!

Despite the ongoing construction I really enjoyed my stay at Widgawa Lodge..my cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything I needed to cook dinners and breakfasts. The staff is very friendly, shout out to Stacy who is so welcoming and friendly. Perfect location for hiking Heaven's Gate Trail...looking forward to another visit next year.

The lady that set us up with a canoe rental was very helpful and walked us through the new Portage that was a short cut to our lake. We rented a canoe, life jackets, foam blocks and straps and everything was great quality.

I stayed at Widgawa Lodge for 2 nights with my friend. Loved it! It is all you expect and more from the Canadian North! Cabins are 100 years old and just that fact gives you a different perspective. Stacy ( who takes care of the place) is such an amazing person, always available and very helpful. So are the owners, who were there during our stay. We'll definitely go back again, there are things we didn't do due to our short stay. Thank you Widgawa Loge for making our long weekend very special 😊

We really enjoyed our stay at Widgawa. Our cabin was cozy, charming and contained everything that we needed including a well stocked kitchen. Highlights of our stay included: the warm welcome from Stacie and John, sighting a bald eagle and a Momma bear with her 3 cubs while on a sunset cruise, and our hiking and paddling adventure to Grace and Nellie lakes. We also loved paddle boarding up the river. This quiet spot allows you to savour the beauty and tranquility of this part of Northern Ontario.

We have used Widgawa as an entry point into Killarney for years now. Love the place, always great, but the new booking system introduced by the new owner is very helpful, and staff (Stacey and John) are absolutely fantastic people. Til' next year!

We had a wonderful trip in Killarney and had a seamless canoe and water taxi rental through Widgawa lodge. New owners, Darren and Krista updated their online booking system which made it very easy. They also extended the road down to the water for easy unloading of camping gear. John and Stacey who manage the resort were very hospitable and friendly. The access to canoes at the portage sights into Nellie and Grace lake were an added bonus along with the prompt water taxi service. Definitely worth the money! We will definitely be returning.
