The Pavilion has come on leaps and bounds in recent years - great shows, events and a fabulous digital cinema always with a full programme. Great cafe too. Much praise to all the staff who work there for making this one of Whitby’s top entertainment venues!

It seems that Whitby Pavilion hosted the Gaisdale and Goathland Hunt Ball this weekend. They quickly removed posts showing the hunt sat round tables adorned with fox balloons. Are they trying to keep the hunt secret. To support a group who are openly mocking animal cruelty for money is immoral. Shame on you. I will not be attending any future events here.

I will no longer recommend Whitby Pavillion if they proceed in hosting the hunt ball. And I will recommend boycotting the place in future. Anyone planning to go to Whitby goth weekend is encouraged to boycott the place also.

I could never recommend a venue that agrees with cruel barbaric so called sports by hosting an event for fox hunters. Totally lost me as a customer
