Came for Mother’s Day dinner and had made a reservation, so we were seated quickly. Our drinks and appetizers arrived promptly, and overall service started off very well. For our mains, we ordered a burger, which was excellent, and the swordfish, which was also very good.
Unfortunately, the evening was really overshadowed by my son’s NY strip steak. He ordered it rare and was very excited for it, but when it arrived, it was completely burnt — black and charred to the point of being inedible. It was hard to understand how it left the kitchen in that condition, as it was clearly overcooked.
It was disappointing because the meal had started out so nicely, and this really put a damper on what was supposed to be a special Mother’s Day dinner.
What an amazing place. First time there but they definitely stole our hearts.
Our server was very friendly and yet professional.
Food was just amazing. Size, taste, look perfect!
Recommend the Zeppole for dessert!
Definitely coming back for date night!

The best restaurant in the neighborhood, hands down. Truly delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and the best staff around. Perfect for date night, a family dinner, or anything in between. We’ve been coming here since this place opened, and we hope it never leaves. A must-visit if you’re ever in Harlem, and worth traveling to!

I highly recommend coming here! The waiter was so sweet and the manager sat my date & I at a 4 top table so we had extra room. I had the vanilla expresso martini.. 10/10. As an entree we had the Lamb Ragu and Steak Frites, every bite was delicious and made with love. The staff was also super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and service was quick. I cant wait to come back!

My Steak was well done and the calamari appetizer was delicious. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. I will come back.

Vinateria strikes a rare balance: refined but relaxed, flavorful without being heavy. We started with wine and shared several dishes, and everything felt fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and well-paced.
The grilled octopus was tender and clean-tasting, nicely charred without heaviness. Roasted beets were bright and balanced, and the cauliflower soup was silky and comforting while still feeling light—no post-meal sluggishness here. For dessert, both the affogato and the olive oil cake were excellent: simple, elegant, and just sweet enough to finish the meal on a high note.
Service was friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. We had a reservation, though there were some open tables when we arrived, which added to the easygoing vibe.
One small note: for solo diners, the window bar seats, while great for people-watching, aren’t the most comfortable for a longer sit. Still, they’re perfect if you’re popping in for a glass of wine and a dish or two.
