Excellent, authentic, himalyan kundalini yoga .
I came here from another ashram, after completing a 300hr Kundalini YTT course.
The stand out class there, was PandeyJi's Pranayama class, so much so that a few of us simply decended on PandeyJi's ashram and asked to be taught more by this wonderful man. He duly obliged and quickly put an ad hoc program together for us which is working out perfectly. It's a family run ashram, very kind thoughtful and considerate family looking after us, I feel all my needs are being met and my thirst for authentic teaching from an exceptionally talented and experienced teacher is fully satisfied. Can't recommend highly enough.
I stayed from 1st of November to 16th of December. I attained a lot of different courses and was really happy about classes, teachers, staff, management and facility. Whenever we had any problem, they tried to solve it with all their power, they were always friendly and good towards us, they cared about us as if we were a big family. I'm grateful to them for everything and hope to go there again on May 2020! See you soon..
This is the worse yoga school in rishikesh. Friends dont waste your money. Dont believe on other positive reviews because this yoga school force their student to write a positive review before completing their classes.
The knowledge of the teachers in this course is superb. They are very wise in traditional yogic knowledge, so if you are looking for authenticity, this is the school for you. The food is very healthy. It is similar each day, but its very well balanced and filling. If you remember that you’re in a different country and not expect 5 star treatment, you will have a wonderful time. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the class schedules allow enough time for rest and studying.
One tip - arrive the day of your course to the facility. If you come before it may be difficult for space, because as one course finishes, the next starts so there is a bit of overlap. To avoid any unnecessary stress, just arrive the day your course starts, even if you arrive to Rishikesh a few days before to sleep off the jet lag.
I came to study Yoga in India so that I could be immersed in the traditions of the practice.
I received exactly that, the philosophy and pranayama teachings from Pandey Ji was what I came searching for. Pandey Ji answered each and every question with knowledge, humility and love.
I did not come here to receive another Western Interpretation of Yoga. I have much gratitude for each of the teachers sharing their own unique gifts through the language of Yoga.
The teachers are absolutely amazing, the management and organization is poor. If you are looking for a luxury retreat, this is not the place for you. The accommodation is fine, just don't expect a hotel experience. It's not a hotel, it's a yoga school. If you are ready to sweat and work hard and get more information than you can handle, then you will thrive. If you are unable to go without pizza and pasta and omlettes and different world food every day, then consider somewhere else. You will eat plain food, you will oftentimes have a cold shower, and you will learn to appreciate and be grateful for many of the things you take for granted.
The photographs that you see online of people practicing outside are very misleading. There is no outdoor space in which to practice. That is on a "field trip" for one morning. That being said, the practice room is fine, just like pretty much all the other ones you will find in Rishikesh. It's on the roof so great views.
