Wish I could say whether or not this office is good. I reached out to them giving my basic information and asking for accommodations (patience, understanding, and sedation) for my dental trauma and autism. I received an email back shortly after stating that they do not offer sedation and to talk to insurance about finding a different office.
I reached out to this office specifically in the first place as their website has an entire section dedicated to sedation and multiple pages listing what kinds they offer and recommend. I am not sure what is happening here. I replied to the email thanking them for their response and asking for clarification as perhaps I was misunderstanding, including screenshots from their own website saying that they do offer sedation services. I waited a week and received no reply.
Unfortunately they are either lying on their website or lied to me as an individual. I understand not wanting me as a patient but I would have much preferred to be treated with respect and told I am not a good fit for their practice rather than being lied to. I may be autistic but I am not stupid. It is already hard for me to take the step to reach out in the first place. At no point was I disrespectful or rude. I was polite and thanked them many times. I am not someone who will have a meltdown or cause harm, just someone who is scared and needs an understanding and patient touch. Incidents like this are why people like me avoid getting the help we need.
We are new to aesthetic dentistry and can’t be more pleased! The staff is so helpful and friendly! When I called Trisha got us in quickly and was so helpful! Our hygienist, Sydney, was amazing, you can tell she truly loves her job! She kindly explained everything to my son and put him at ease! We saw Dr. Conor Hughes, very nice dentist!! My son did have a pretty big cavity and the staff got him back in the following week to fix that! We can’t say enough good things about the practice! We are so happy we found them!
This place of Dental care is by far the cleanest and the very best I have experienced! I can’t state enough positive comments for all the courteous staff members and the outstanding work performed by (Dr. Conor Hughes) The King of dentistry, my dentist and (Dr. Gwynn )being Gary’s dentist. This team always amazes me, from the moment I call to schedule to the greeting upon arrival to the work performed 🙌😁
Sadly, after 14 years, yesterday was my final visit to Aesthetic Dental. I'm moving across the state, so I will have to find a new dentist. It is going to be hard to find a replacement on their level. Every aspect of this practice is impressive and will be hard to match.
Let's start with Dr. Gwynn. He is a great dentist! He is very knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and thorough. He is also willing to admit when a situation calls for a specialist. I needed a tricky root canal. He told me I should see an endodontist who had the training and equipment needed to do it. I find this humility commendable. Dr. Gwynn is everything I want in a dentist.
But there is more to a dental practice than the dentist. There is the dental hygienist who cleans your teeth. I've had several different people over the years, but each of them has been great! When you enter the clean, modern facility, you deal with the office managers. They are always on top of things, welcoming, friendly, and willing to help. Very nice people!
From the front door to the dental chair, this is a class act! If you live close enough and are looking for a dentist, look no further. My thanks to everyone there for all the years of great service! I will miss you all!
