Hello Janice, we would like to address the points in your review. We strive to provide excellent service to all our customers, and we regret that you felt overcharged. However, the charges reflected the additional time required due to unforeseen issues during the move. Specifically, there was a significant delay because the kitchen and display cabinet, which you had agreed to pack beforehand, were not prepared. This was a key component in the basis for your quote. Had you not offered to do this the quotation would have been more, this was mentioned to you at the time we quoted. This unexpected situation required our team to spend additional time ensuring the safe transport of your belongings. We understand the stress involved in moving, especially considering your personal circumstances, and we aim to be compassionate and understanding. However, it's important to note that our team experienced considerable difficulties on-site, including abusive behaviour, which affected the overall process. Regarding your comments about ongoing disputes, please know that we have attempted to resolve these issues. We were regrettably forced to issue a cease-and-desist order in response to repeated online abuse from you (across all channels), as we felt it was necessary for the well-being of our staff and the integrity of our service. Additionally, we had to refuse completing a family member's job due to very serious health and safety concerns. There were dangerous items in the property that posed significant risks to our team, and we could not compromise their safety. We appreciate all feedback, as it helps us improve. While we recognise your dissatisfaction, it's worth noting that many customers have had positive experiences with us. We do not solicit reviews from friends or family, and each review reflects genuine customer interactions. Hi Rowan, We became aware of this issue in January 2023, and the driver involved was dismissed. Since then, we have installed vehicle trackers and driver performance monitors to monitor and improve driver performance. We do not condone such reckless driving, which is why we took swift action to address it. This incident, highlighted in dash cam footage recently published on YouTube (May 2024), was dealt with at the time because the driver's behaviour did not meet our standards. Please can you accept our apology for what happened and rest assured the incident was resolved in January 2023.
