Great food and excellent service We were a group of 6 on past Sunday evening and the service Maggie provide was excellent. She had a friendly welcome smile when greeting the group and provided outstanding service. She asked if food was ok and the meals were excellent. Hats off to kitchen staff as well. They also asked if we had a proper documentation when entering to assure we met the proper guidelines. Good job!!

Dinner 2 different nights in PEI Glad we picked out this Restaurant. It was within walking Distance of the Delta Hotel. Food and Service and staff knowledge of Menu made the evening.. I would suggest reservations if you are in the area for dinner. It was very busy and locals as well as out of towners were in attendance. If we get downtown again I would highly recommend this Restaurant .

A wonderful dinner When we arrived the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our server was spectacular. The selection of beers was great as were the fish tacos. My wife and I split a plate of PEI mussels as an appetizer. They were great. The lobster roll was also a hit for my wife.

Beyond Expectations I had high expectations for this brewpub but they were well exceeded. The food was 10/10 perfect - you could not ask for something more delicious. The beer was equally fantastic. Definitely going back every chance we get.

Pub food Four of us had dinner here. Everyone was satisfied with their meal except me. I had the tuna tartare. Half of it was cucumber! Our server was excellent. We got a table without a reservation.

One word. Ok Two Words. Lobster. Dip. So make a reservation or get there early and put your name on the list. This place gets busy for dinner and we waited about 25 mins for a table to open up. It was great to see so much energy and lots of locals having dinner here too. Sour beers - awesome! Food was really good. Yes, lobster dip for sure. Our server, Meg was super cool. Definitely will be back!!

Decent food First walked in and not the friendliest service. Staff seemed busy and stressed. Our server made up for it once we engaged in conversation. Pretty decent menu but was disappointed in the lobster rolls, they were very dry. I would give this place another chance and try a different item.

Excellent place to have dinner From start to finish , the staff were beyond courteous. We asked for some small changes to the menu and were immediately advised that was acceptable . Servcie was excellent and the food was excellent .(Great variety however we wanted something not fried) . Tables outside available . Highly recommend

Come Hungry! Staff were super friendly and accommodated us despite not having made a reservation. The oysters, PEI mussels and lobster Mac n cheese exceeded our expectation.

Great beer and location We ate and drank on the patio downtown Charlottetown. Food was excellent - fish is fresh and tasty. More importantly, the beer is great and the bar on the other side of the street was playing live music - which added to the experience.

Great experience Great dinner with a group of 9 plus 2 dogs. Service was great and food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Dinner for two Husband enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich. I really liked the gluten friendly ginger chicken bowl. Sat outside and listened to live music ?

Really Salty Food I have always been a proponent of only writing positive reviews, but today I have to acknowledge the negative experience I had. I used to live in Halifax and we would drive all the way to Charlottetown, because we loved the vibe, service and product offered at this establishment. After returning home and getting out of quarantine, the Gahan was the first place on my list to visit. My first coarse I had to send back (calamari) because it was so salty. The server was great and took it off the bill immediaitely. My dining partner commented on how salty her meal was also. I ordered another appetizer (fish cakes) and they were great, not salty at all. I ordered two meals to go, for my family. When they dove into their meals, they couldn't eat it (Fish and Chips and Meat Melt), they were soooooo salty. I now know when I do go back, that I will ask for no added salt. But am very disappointed that we spent $160 for lunch that was very unsatisfying.

Tasty food, great service, nice atmosphere Even during this pandemic, we felt safe in the restaurant. Service was excellent, food top notch, lobster rolls were overflowing with lobster meat. Beer was cold and delicious.

Burger Love times two This year Gagan has two burgers to offer during Burger Love. We tried both and we agreed the vegetarian/ vegan burger was the best. Hope it stays on the menu! The cleverly name "If looks could kale" is a black bean with carrot patty with cranberry and red pepper chutney and, of course, kale on a vegan bun. Sensational! "Heavens to Betsy"is a very good beef burger (two 4-oz) parties with candied bacon, smoky BBQ sauce and a jalapeno, mac and cheese topper. Good but pales in comparison to the black bean burger. PLEASE keep the black bean burger on the menu so delicious! As an extra treat I added the blueberry field green salad to my order. Perfect complement to the burger. Burgers were in the $15 range and sides were extra ($3 for fried, $4 for salad).

Great food and service Had a great meal here on our trip last week. Our server kennedie was very thorough and helpful with helping us navigate the beer and food menu and was very attentive to us despite the busy atmosphere in the restaurant! The pan fried haddock was delicious and my wife’s pork tenderloin was cooked perfectly- loved the selections of local beer as well and the staffs knowledge of the beer pairings. Will definitely be back when we return to the island

Vacation Meal We were walking around Charlottown and found this restaurant. They were very busy but were able to seat 5 of us. The service was a little slow but it was extremely busy. Our food was very good and had plenty of options. .

Outstanding.... Wonderful unhurried service.....Terrific ambiance (great building!)..... Food was terrific......hands down best meal (of many) in Charlottetown..... Lots if choices nearby, but Gahans delivers!! To top it off, even got a quick tour of the brewery in the cellar! Thanks all!

Usually great! This year just so so! The smaller menu was just so so. Nothing fantastic food wise really. This has been a stop for us twice a year and we were for the first time disappointed.. wait times for staff is long. Over 35 mins from the time we finished eating till someone came over.
