Honestly, it felt like they just air-freshened the place and hoped for the best. There was that “fresh clean smell” everywhere… but very little actual cleaning to go with it.
Floors weren’t properly hoovered or mopped, skirting boards still dirty, candle wax left on the floors and window sills, and big black marks still on the walls. When I raised it, I was told it had all been “wiped down” — which might be true, but I’m fairly sure I paid for a clean, not a quick once-over with a cloth.
I genuinely don’t know how they expected me to hand the flat over to a new tenant in that condition.
To top it off, the parking permit mysteriously disappeared during the clean. They were the only ones in the flat, yet somehow it vanished into thin air, leaving me to pay to replace it.
When I called to complain (after having to pay someone else to come in and actually finish the job), I suggested a partial refund. I was offered £15 — which felt more like a joke than a resolution — and, unsurprisingly, that never even materialised. Not worth chasing, but it does sum up the experience nicely.
At one point, even after I’d sent videos and photos, I was accused of trying to pull one over. I had to ask him if he’d actually looked at the evidence — which seemed to leave him completely dumbfounded. He did offer to come around to rectify but the tenant was moving in the next day.
Overall, “Top Notch” is… ambitious branding. “Top-Not Cleaners” might be more accurate.
Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. Abdul, the main cleaner, was professional, punctual, and incredibly thorough. His attention to detail is next level & every corner was spotless, and the place genuinely felt brand new afterwards.
Abdul clearly takes real pride in his work, and it shows. He was polite, respectful, and went above and beyond without being asked. It’s rare to find someone so reliable and meticulous these days.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cleaning company to anyone, and if you can request Abdul, do it & you’ll be in very good hands. I’ll definitely be using them again.

I’m sharing this so others in the community can make an informed decision.
I completed work for Top Notch Cleaners valued at £1,000. The job was finished fully and as agreed. After the work was completed, payment was never made.
I’ve tried to resolve this professionally by calling and messaging multiple times, but they have stopped responding entirely. There were no complaints raised about the work at the time.
Failing to pay for completed work is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about reliability and professionalism. If you’re considering working with this company—as a contractor or in any other capacity—please make sure you protect yourself, get everything in writing, and don’t rely on payment promises after the job is done.

Serious Payment & Professionalism Issues – My Experience
I am writing this review to share my genuine experience so others can make an informed decision before working with this company.
1. Work Completed as Agreed:
I completed a job for this company valued at £1,000. The work was carried out fully and according to what was agreed. There were no complaints about the quality or completion of the job at the time.
2. Non-Payment After Job Completion:
Despite the work being completed, I was never paid. After finishing the job, I followed up multiple times regarding payment.
3. Repeated Attempts to Contact Them:
I tried contacting the company through:
Phone calls
Text messages
Follow-up messages
All of these attempts were ignored. Once the work was done, communication completely stopped.
4. Lack of Professional Conduct:
Failing to pay someone after they have completed work is not just disappointing — it is unprofessional and unethical. A legitimate business should never operate this way.
5. Impact on Trust and Reliability:
This experience has completely destroyed my trust in this company. If they cannot be relied upon to pay for completed work, it raises serious concerns about how they operate overall.
6. Warning to Others:
I strongly advise anyone considering working with this company — whether as a contractor, cleaner, or partner — to be extremely cautious. Make sure you protect yourself, get everything in writing, and do not rely on verbal promises.
Conclusion
My experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and unfair. This review is written purely to reflect the facts and to warn others. Based on what I went through, I cannot recommend this company.
I hired Top Notch for a deep clean, and the whole experience honestly left a bad taste. The cleaning was okay, but the attitude was disappointing. I asked them to clean properly around and under the dining table — it’s not even heavy, three adults could move it easily — but they refused, so I ended up doing it myself. Then there were a few tiny plastic pieces on the floor from my husband fixing the bed, and when I pointed them out, they told me the room was already cleaned. It would’ve taken them a few seconds, but no one bothered. For a job costing over £500, this kind of rigidity and lack of basic willingness to help was frustrating. My regular cleaners, who come every week for £18 an hour, do a better job, listen, and actually care — the whole clean usually costs me £160–£180. The work wasn’t horrible, but the attitude made it feel far from worth the price.
I booked in for a deep clean for a place we’re going to move into. As it was recently renovated, the place had builders dust all around and the floors dirty too. They managed to get the entire place spic and sparkling within 2ish hours. They even fit in doing some work in the shared kitchen under short notice. The guys were great & I’ll definitely be booking in for a maintenance clean every now and then.
Super professional and quick service, and they truly go the extra mile to deliver the best results. Due to a miscommunication with my building reception, they had to wait around 20 minutes for me to let them in, and I was genuinely impressed by how understanding they were. Very polite, friendly, and excellent communication throughout.
I would 100% recommend them. I also want to point out that the one negative review they received is completely unfair. It’s only logical that you should clear any obstacles to ensure they have easy access and can clean properly—they’re not there to move your things around. It’s a service they provide, but we should also do our part to help them achieve the best results.
I will definitely recommend them again, and they will be my first point of contact for similar jobs in the future.
Thank you!
