**Update: On March 15, 2025, my mother experienced a fall in the bathroom as a result of water that had leaked out of the shower two days after it was last used. Despite my parents' efforts to clean the area following the shower use on Friday, water leaked more on the floor 2 days after the shower was last used. On March 11, 2025, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which prompted a response from Stephanie at Toledo New Bath on March 12, 2025. I was disappointed that it required formal action to elicit a call from her. During our conversation, she expressed greater concern about the location I had attempted to reach and the phone number we were using than about the need for repairs to the shower. At one point, she accused us of being dishonest, claiming that we must have contacted the wrong number or visited the wrong location, despite the clear signage on the building and the availability of their phone number online.
It took the initiation of a BBB complaint for them to engage with us. During our dialogue, I presented two options: either rectify the shower issue or I would be compelled to involve local news outlet 13abc and legal counsel. Stephanie responded by addressing me as "bro" and admonishing me not to issue threats. I clarified that I was merely presenting options, and it appeared she was opting for the legal and media route, leading me to terminate the call.
Following this, Stephanie submitted a response to the BBB complaint, reiterating her claims that we were not appropriately contacting their office and insisting that someone was available at the location from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. I formally rejected her response, as it failed to provide any constructive resolution to our complaint. On March 13, 2025, the same installer who had initially installed the bath returned to our home. My father contacted me while the installer was present; although he claimed there was no leak after taking a brief video, he suggested that water would escape if the door was not completely closed. I stood by to demonstrate that water continued to leak, despite holding the door shut, and pointed out that there were four witnesses to the issue. I expressed my dissatisfaction with being called dishonest, but the installer interrupted the conversation by returning the phone to my father before I could finish my explanation. I instructed my father to ask the installer to leave, as we were inclined to hire an alternative contractor and consult legal advice.
Upon hearing this, the installer abruptly offered to reseal the area in an attempt to resolve the issue. It is important to note that it has taken a year for Toledo New Bath to communicate with us regarding this matter, resulting in prolonged water leakage behind the wall, which raises concerns about potential mold growth. It seems evident that Toledo New Bath has shown a lack of regard for the implications of their "most experienced" installer potentially causing further damage. We must now monitor for signs of mold, which poses health risks. I am disappointed in Toledo New Bath for their apparent exploitation of vulnerable elderly individuals. I am committed to advocating on behalf of my parents to ensure they are not taken advantage of.**
This 1-star review is about Toledo New Bath. My parents hired them in June 2024 to redo their shower, and they have called many times about a leak from poor installation. We reached out to all listed numbers and visited the Reynolds location with no luck. I give Toledo New Bath 0 out of 10 stars for customer service. They quickly take your money but are slow to fix their mistakes.
Two weeks after signing the contract, we received an advertisement for free installation. Spending $12,000 on a new walk-in shower should mean better service.
I like the walk in shower however the over head shower is to low for a 6ft man and no use to me, the sliding door does not fit correctly and leaks on to the floor, I had new flooring put down and was not done correctly which messed up cabinet and does not correctly along with counter top..company is a rip off and I wouldn't not recommend to anyone!!
