Overall I was happy with the outcome of my garage,when the team showed up to install my garage,I received a call from TOL Buildings manager stating I needed to pay $2300. More to the crew or they wouldn't install my garage because the area was dangerous and unsafe,and was going to take extra timebut was ok to do for the extra money,and i have been waiting and pushed back an extra month for install,being very unhappy about this,I called and came to an agreement to pay them $1000. Extra,if I wasn't in a bind needing my garage as it was now Dec 20th 2025,I wouldn't have done that and looked for other revenues,so garage got built and done in 2 days,so much for the unsafe area and it would take them extra time,what a scam they have going,i hope other buyers beware of this SCAM they have going on,very unprofessional,but what do you do when they have you over a barrel,and need the garage you purchased installed 😡
Horrible customer service!! The insulation of my building is falling because they piece milled it and used tape instead of doing it right. 2+ months later of emails and phone calls and still getting the run around. Another call today with a receptionist saying they were unavailable and would call me back. They never do.
This company is a JOKE I ordered a carport from another company and sent it to TOL to build that I was not aware of when I ordered it back in June it took 3 weeks before I got any info and only text messages it took weeks before I got a phone call that came up as a spam call so it was not answered it was told that it would be 2-3 weeks before delivery ok.
Well weeks lateri get a text message it will be delivered on this day ok between 10-11 at 12:30 i get a phone it will be between 2-4 ok i went for dinner and thay just show at the house at 5:30 in the evening we are at your house where do you want it. Well iam not there i am 15mins away get to the house I can't even get in my own driveway it is blocked with there truck and trailer.
Where do you want it right next to the house we can't do that it is to close to the house and it is not level ok thay packet up and left.
So this guy call me and said after thay left and said you will have to pay 10%restocking fee and left it at that and I know I will not get my deposit back.
As I said in the beginning this company is a JOKE.
I just want to start my saying. These Guys drove 4 hour and 30 minutes to our job. Work 13 hours before stopping for the day. They very awesome to us and very polite! They work very hard when they got here until they stop. And, they almost finished our 30 x 50 in one day. There work is very good, and I would use them again, if I had other building to do. Thank, also to TOL Building Inc. For the building, everything thing looks awesome!! We are very Happy and pleased to have bought this building from TOL Building. Thanks again for an awesome Job!
Its been long enough so I can post my review. Ordered from a 3rd party building seller. Crew & building belonged to TOL. 1st - I paid for mobile home screw anchors & received rebar anchors that were meant for gravel. (This building was on grass). The anchors pulled up every time a high wind storm came through. I picked up trash, pieces of metal & over a hundred screws from the yard. A number of the support braces from wall post to truss were bent up, the gable sheet metal had dents & bows, side posts were wavy & out of plumb. The best part is - the install crew forged my signature on the delivery receipt which made the contract null & void. They tried to repo the building, which would have been fine had I received every dollar of my $1000 deposit back. We could have pretended like the whole thing never happened, they didnt want to do that so building retrieval was refused. I welcomed a court summons but that would have exposed the forgery. At this point the building has been abandoned. This building manufacturer is a disgrace and does not deserve business from hard working people or any people for that matter.
I ordered a $12,000 building from them. They made two appointments so far with me and have failed to make either appointment, or to contact me before missing the appointments. I have just called them today after taking 2 days off work and waiting. They said that my delivery was rescheduled, but they never called me to reschedule. I told them i wanted my deposit back. They said NO, that I would have to just wait til they could get to me. They keep saying bad weather, when there is not any bad weather around here. Then the Spanish speaking guy said that I didn’t need to be here when they came to install the building, I asked him how would he know where to install the building. He started rambling in Spanish. I talked to the person at Superior Buildings in Mosheim, TN where I purchased the building, and he hung up on me. If you are smarter than me, then you will just skip on past this place and find a more reputable company to purchase from. They will lie to you, and not keep you informed of what they are doing, and probably never show up, I still don’t have my building or a refund, and no calls back from anyone. So, next week will be in small claims court in Greeneville, TN and try my best to get part of my money back from these crooks. This seems like more of a scam than anything else.
Contracted for a metal carport through a local vendor. Construction to be done by TOL.
Install date was moved 3 times. Was getting contradicting install dates at the same time. Crew spoke only broken English which was a bit of an issue. Crew needed spacers for leveling the structure which they did not have on the truck, so I provided some bricks that sufficed. Overall happy with the final product.
Terrible communication, every time i call they say they have to contact someone else for info on my building plans then never call Me back. Ive called 10 times today and no answer. Took them 3 months to get the site specifics which were ridiculously over engineered. Terrible company to work with.
We had heavy snow last winter in Upstate NY that caused our building to have some structural damage. I called TOL told them what happened and they came and repaired the damage and added extra support. For No Charge!
I'm very happy with their customer service and professional workmanship!
