If you're looking for a moving company that's as professional as a herd of cats at a laser pointer convention, Student Movers is your go-to disaster. Having moved several times during my military service, I've seen it all--but this company truly redefined my understanding of "unprofessional." Picture this: you're moving literally down the street, a journey so short even my Roomba could navigate it without breaking a sweat. Yet, the bill arrives, and it feels like I just financed a cross-country road trip for a family of ten. Naturally, I asked for an invoice to see what exactly I was paying for. Their response? Argue with the client like it's a national sport. It was like asking a magician to reveal his tricks--only, instead of rabbits and hats, it was just straight hot trash. And the icing on this comedy cake? They had the audacity to claim I was a fake mover when I successfully completed a chargeback due to the work not being complete. The sent me a letter claiming to sue me, told them to take it with the bank and not me. Fake military? Really? I'm currently active duty and have been since 2009. How about a statement apologizing and not claiming he fake, doesn't even leaving in our state?? Yea I was TAD away from my family, and I arranged for y'all to move them and you tried to over charged us because you thought you can get more money for it being a military move. But, what you Forgot is that people have phones, emails and receipts, so Here are some photos, just in case you thought I was making this up. In summary, unless you enjoy overpaying for underwhelming service and arguing for the sheer sport of it, I highly recommend choosing any other moving company. Save yourself the headache and avoid this comedy of errors at all costs. Trust me, your sanity and your wallet will thank you. Collection? Chargeback was successfully and no collection here. Paid for a service and we didn't receive the service, point blank period. Had to hire another moving company, paid them over 700 to complete the move, so please save tears. Have no idea what you talking about Riverside 909. Take your collection with the bank, they the one that investigated and approved the chargeback. You see the letter, don't play dumb. Didn't see your disrespectful post until now, that's why I updated it to be more professional. Calling me fake military, fake move, but yet you talking about garage stuff being moved. If it was fake how do you remember garage stuff? The whole house had to be moved. I had to provide receipt to make sure people see the real fake moving service with zero customer service. Pretty sure your name is on one of the documents attached, so stop it sir and take responsibility of your hot garbage moving service. The lady you had working for you, if I was you, I would fire her and hire someone with a once of professionalism in them. Plus, those ain't my employees, you are responsible for their pay, next time hold them accountable. Whole bunch of excuses and no apologies still. You are only hurting your business, not me.

Every bit of damage in attached photos caused by thestudentmovers.com. They arrived late, smelled like weed, took time to eat on the job, couldn't get truck started at one point, and spent 30 minutes of the time we paid for cleaning up the crash of our furniture inside their moving truck because they didn't strap anything down. Busted one of our shelves and scratched 6 others. Every interaction with president Shawn over the phone involved being the target of manipulative word play and condescension, both to me and my sister. Had to fight to not be interrupted on the phone. You could tell he had a common talk track he had to get through. His favorite phrases include "It's just basic math" and "my guys tell me they did a good job" and "you're welcome to find someone cheaper" (he said to me after they already had my stuff loaded and hostage). I failed in not looking for this yelp account before I booked them. Don't make the same mistake. Businesses like this should not be able to exist in the free market. Key words: incompetence, failing business model, no responsibility, condescending Sad day for our family all around. Dad in hospital for spinal surgery but had to be out of his place of business. Hired this company and we are worse off for it. Pictures attached include pictures of their moving truck at our location so this review can't be written off as fake, which seems to be a common thread with this company.

i recently had the pleasure of utilizing The Student Movers for my relocation needs,and I Couldnot be more satisfied with the level of services they provided . From start to finish , The Student Movers demonstrated professonlisam ,efficiency and care , making my moving experence seamless and stress-free. Frome my initial inquiry to the completion of the move , the communication with the Student Movers was outstanding. On moving day, the team arrived right on time, equipped and ready to tackle the task at hand. They greeted me with a friendly demeanor and wasted no time in getting to work. I was impressed by their organization and efficiency as they carefully wrapped and packed my belongings , ensuringtheir safety during transit. Throughout the moving process, the team exhibited a high level of professionalism and respect for my property. They handled each item with care, from fragile glassware to heavy furniture, treating them as if they were their own. Recommended for any move!

Shawn is not honest! Beware, you should read all the reviews before using them! They add on additional charges.

UNETHICAL BUSINESS: When a mover does not show up for work and therefore leaves the client waiting 4 hours -- after the scheduled time, which makes them miss their move out window -- that is a management issue. The gal Melissa seemed wonderful at first; she even called me the day of and said the drivers would be a 1-1.5 hours late (they were scheduled between 10-11 a.m.) and I was fine with that; the driver then called and texted by 1:39 p.m. and explained the 2nd mover never showed up and he was able to get another, however, they would still not reach me until later that day ; by then it had started raining; we would miss the dump which was the goal of the day so I cancelled; and instead of charging the $150 fee they charged my card $870.00! They never returned my calls; blocked my number after I left several messages for Melissa; and, never reached out to discuss! When drivers/movers/employees do not show up that is a management problem. Not a client problem.

Love how my photos of the damage continue to disappear. I also noticed the company is no longer responding to feedback about their company.

Don't waste your time and money on this moving company. This company will take you for a ride and insult you and threaten you that your breaking the law by going over time limits on the job contract, which is ubserd. I don't see this company running their business pretty soon.

So I had hired this company for labor only, and was told over the phone by the woman who answers the phones that there would be two gentlemen moving but then when they arrived, there was one mover and her, and it was crazy her one they seemed like they did not know what they were doing. They charge by the hour and they sat in their car for 20 minutes before they came inside, saying that they were working on paperwork and then once they came in, they stood there, looking at these couches that I needed to move And then walked back out to the U-Haul that I had rented to look at the room wasting time. Finally they did not seem competent or confident in moving these sectional couches that were unhooked in the five small pieces and she kept complaining about this being a problem, being a difficult move once on a dolly, they didn't even lift it into the U-Haul truck. I had to do it myself because they just stood there complaining when he came back inside. He sat down while I continue to move couches. I told them I have a herniated disc in my back and that's why I hired them for movers. If they were gonna be able to do this or not to let me know, and she started clapping her hands and yelling at me and my Clients who are moving saying that they didn't have to help us if she was doing me a favor. It was an awful experience and we ended up not even using them

150/hour +30% and a 4 hour minimum???? hahahahahaha. JOKE pricing. Who is going to pay close to 1k JUST to move some items in the same zip code?

The responses from this business owner are mind blowing. If you have a chance take a look at how this "Professional" moving company handles reviews, a clear indication of how they run their business and treat customers. Will continue to update this review so that people are able to make a legitimate decision.

Worst company ever. Unprofessional as f&$k. Moved several times during my military service and for this company to move you literally down the street, it cost the same as a long distance move. How do you argue with your client after asking for an invoice of exactly what you are charging us for?? Please use honest other movers, straight hot trash.

Just tried calling Student Movers for a quote. The lady who answered kept interrupting me while I was asking questions and wouldn't let me finish speaking. She was frustrated with my request for more information and abruptly said "hope I answered all your questions, goodbye" and hung up. Shawn, I'm not here to argue but in response to your reply, I've been shopping around for quotes and have many questions to compare rates/services/etc. this is my first time trying to book a moving company and it can be overwhelming. This is the first time I've felt any type of disrespect from a company. I have every intention of booking a mover within my budget with a team I can trust. I was not calling your company to waste anybodys time.
