This was the major surprise highlight of our Rome trip!! I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS TOUR!! Michael was friendly. He set us up with transportation and gear to perfection! This tour first took us to the San Sebastián Catacombs, then a ride down the Appian Highway, and onto the Aqueduct Park. Each visiting of the tour topped the one prior in being the best portion of the trip! But really what I loved the most was getting out of town,,,seeing a completely different part of Rome…being able to smell the fresh air…and having the opportunity to see something beyond Roma! The bike ride gave me the opportunity to feel free and easy!
The tour itself was a unique view of Rome outside of the craziness of the Colosseum area. Our tour guide, Richard, gave us a good overview of several things and places we would not have seen otherwise. It was not easy biking with cobblestone, large stones and narrow trails, not to mention significant traffic in several areas. So BE prepared. Richard took great care of us throughout the tour. However, One of the bikes had a malfunction causing my husband to slow abruptly and I then crashed into him. Richard was able to put the bike back to working order that I was riding & switched bikes with my husband for the rest of the trip. The biggest disappointment was afterwards trying to reach out to anyone from the bike company. No storefront (it was out of a garage door) and no working website or emaiIs. I am still working with GYG to get resolution of the situation as I had some injuries however even that has been challenging. I cannot recommend at this time.
Overall is was a great tour! A few adjustments would give a 5 star grade. Some was new on e-bikes and needed guidance how they worked. Would be better to show how to turn them on at the beginning of the tour. Also, Danes value safety when biking, so lights on the bikes at the end would be great. Both parents and kids loved the tour! What a beautiful Park you have!
Our tour guide was fantastic and the whole experience was great. Would strongly recommend it. However, unfortunately, there was a puncture on one of the bikes And The tour guide was left completely hanging by his office/Boss or how to get out of a situation 6 km out. We felt very sorry for him that nobody seem to want to help him out.
