I visited The Liberty NYC and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the modern and inviting atmosphere immediately made me feel welcome. I tried a few dishes and cocktails, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, enhancing the overall experience. It’s a great spot for a casual meal or drinks with friends, and I’ll definitely return next time I’m in New York.
I am here for happy hour. The food is a little on the pricer side but if you could make it for happy hour you will not be disappointed!!!
Nos han dado mesa enseguida. La camarera muy amable y atenta. El sitio se ve limpio y con buen ambiente, nos gusta mucho!
After doing karaoke next door with three friends, we stopped in for dinner and drinks. The food was definitely good — no complaints there — and our server was awesome. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic when we brought up our concern.
Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when we used the bathroom. The smell was absolutely horrendous. It seems like there may be an issue between the street and the building, as the odor backing up into the restroom was overwhelming. It felt like a serious health concern, and I immediately had to gag and walk out.
Again, the food and vibes were great, and our server handled the situation as best as he could. I was told they’re moving to a new location soon, and I truly wish them well. I hope the new space doesn’t have these bathroom issues, because aside from that, it could have been a great night
Great spot to go to catch up with friends/coworkers. Bar was nice. Food is above average. Highly recommend and will come again.
This place saved me more than once when other restaurants in the area either closed too early or opened too late for when I needed food. I ended up picking up to-go orders here twice during my trip. The breakfast burrito was huge and tasty! The turkey club wrap was fresh and delicious, with great crispy & well-seasoned fries on the side. The staff that took my order each time was super friendly and personable. Highly recommend this place!
Came up to Koreatown to visit Macy’s and stumbled upon a delightful happy hour tonight! Great drinks for a great price in the area and it was packed from wall to wall! Our server, I think her name was Stefanie, was amazing and made me and my boyfriend’s experience that much better. Will def be back :)
Stopped in last night for drinks and a few bites. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly after going to use the ladies’ room. The smell was so strong and unpleasant that I couldn’t even use it and had to leave the room. I started coughing and had difficulty breathing. It was extremely dirty and honestly alarming.
Clean restrooms are usually a reflection of how the rest of a place is maintained, and after that, I completely lost my appetite. My boyfriend ordered mozzarella sticks, but they looked unappealing, and I couldn’t bring myself to eat anything. I only felt comfortable having a bottled drink.
This place has potential, but cleanliness—especially the bathroom—needs serious attention. I won’t return unless there’s a noticeable improvement.
First time in NY, this place looked like a good place. Ordered food, calamari which was actually good. The steak was unflavored but cooked right, the side of mashed potatoes were plain and also unseasoned. A Coke cost $5 in a small tall glass full of ice with about less than half a 12oz can of soda in it. Asked for a refill thinking nothing of it, when I got the bill, there was two charges for coke. I can’t believe I was charged $10 for them splitting a 12oz can…. Would have been nice to know that there would be an extra charge. And also the size of the beverage beforehand. Service was subpar.
We stopped in for dinner while visiting NYC and left pretty underwhelmed, especially considering the prices. The food was just okay—nothing memorable. My husband ordered the steak and I had the crab sandwich; both were fine, but definitely not worth what we paid.
One thing that really stood out was the drink pricing. My husband ordered a soda and it came in a very small glass (about 6 oz) with ice and cost $5, with no free refills. That felt excessive. I ordered the passion drink, which was actually pretty good and probably the highlight of the visit.
Service was slow and not very attentive. We waited longer than expected and didn’t feel checked on much throughout the meal.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but for the price and location, we expected better food and service. Probably wouldn’t return.
Great atmosphere, great staff and very good food..... Worth a visit for sure......
Meal was lovely, recommend the Steak, was awesome....
Staff were extremely friendly and looked after us...
Atmosphere was loud without it being uncomfortable, everyone enjoyed themselves as it should be....
Please pay them a visit
New York is known for its attitude and just generally not being accessible for new people. I’m not new, and I’ve been to a ton of restaurants around town. One that keeps me coming back over and over is The Liberty. The food, staff, and drinks are always incredibly consistent. I always sit at the bar and I’ve been served by both Lisa and Louis now. Both of them made me feel like I was the star of their day, even when they were clearly slammed. Anybody who can maintain a positive attitude at times like that deserves a raise in my opinion. Above and beyond. I had coconut shrimp and a salad this time, but no matter what I get the food is surprisingly delicious. I love this hidden gem so much. It may be a “sports bar” but it’s so much cooler than your average pub. 13/10 stars!!
Good food, service and drinks.
