Photoshoots can be an awkward affair. I am always apprehensive of this and it was very important for me to find a photographer who could overcome this barrier. Low and behold, we found Marissa. How fantastic to have a wonderful photographer who can come into your home and photograph you while making you feel 100% comfortable. She has an understanding of every different type of shoot, she is able to capture the special moments without being intrusive of those special instances between the human subjects. When she did our newborn shoot, I was nervous and emotional – as many first-time new moms are, Marissa showed a complete understanding of this and was able to effortlessly work around it and produce absolutely fantastic images. The same can be said about our maternity shoot, she made me look and feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, even though I was VERY pregnant and had a few wardrobe malfunctions. Our photos were always sent to us as promised in record time. I will definitely recommend The Girl with the Camera for ANY lifestyle photoshoot. You will definitely receive 5 star professional service.

I had a really lovely experience working with The Girl with the Camera. Upon interviewing several photographers, I immediately knew she was the one. Just from a quick chat I already felt comfortable and knew we would get along. On the day of my wedding, she came up with creative ideas I never would have though of, she made us feel really comfortable, alleviating tat awkwardness, and we had a lot of fun. I have the most beautiful photo's to remember my day and really recommend her! PLUS: She brings an assistant, which none of the other companies in her price bracket offered, which meant she had her hands free to snap photos and didn't have to waste any time adjusting lights or changing lenses. Really a great experience
