Myself my husband and 11 year old son recently stayed a Friday night in The Cottage for my sons birthday. We had the most amazing time. The Cottage is absolutely stunning, beautifully decorated and presented and spacious. Myself & husband both agreed that the bed we slept in was the most comfortable we have ever slept in before other than our own bed at home. The Cottage was so warm and cozy and we absolutely loved the hot tub. It was massive! In a private area out the back of the cottage overlooking the river. The TV in the living room (which doubled as my sons bedroom) was huge! The large beer garden overlooking the river is lovely on a nice day and there are some nice walks in the area. All in all it was beautiful accommodation and we wished we could have stayed longer. We had our evening meal in the hotel restaurant and that too was amazing! Lovely atmosphere too. The staff are all so lovely and friendly especially one of the managers Dean, I honestly don't think we've ever met such a friendly genuinely nice guy, he can't do enough for the guests and is so helpful, he made our stay. We would highly recommend a stay at the The George and would definitely go back. Thanks again for making our stay so perfect.

Great stay at the George. Rooms were fantastic very spacious and cosy. Restaurant meals were really tasty and excellent value for money nicest homemade chips and bourbon sauce.. Drinks Madri only lager and at 6.50 a pint was pleasant. Views were unreal located on the river. Dean was very attentive and couldn't do enough for guests. Car park ample space. Only downfall buffer breakfast the cooked breakfast was barely warm left under the lights. Staff at breakfast seemed rushed off their feet so didn't like to trouble them. All in all would definitely go back and stay again thanks for a lovely break away.

Stayed here for two nights whilst attending a wedding at Runa Farm. Accommodation was in a modern block separate from the pub, room where large, clean & tidy. There is also plenty of off-road parking. We stayed over two nights the first morning the service & cooked to order beeakfast were very good. However, the second morning, it was a very poor, self-service breakfast, greacy fried eggs, bacon, and sausages. Spoke with the cook/chef who refused to make some scrambled eggs, which is what I'd had the previous morning. The one member of staff, a lady was lovely but sadly can't remember ber name.
