I am posting this review as a last resort after attempting to resolve this matter privately with management, who unfortunately dismissed my concerns and were unwilling to offer any resolution to my complaint.
I paid £160 for a full valet on my Peugeot Partner Tepee on Sunday 2nd August 2026. I was told this service would make the vehicle showroom ready, so my expectations were high for this price point. To be completely fair, they did spend about three hours on the vehicle, and the carpets and the roof are noticeably cleaner.
However, the overall standard of the work was disappointing. When collecting the car, the glovebox, front shelf, and sun visors had been missed entirely. I asked staff to clean them there and then, but upon closer inspection, the sun visors remain covered in dirt that easily wipes off.
Once I got home, I looked at the car in closer detail and I started noticing so many basic areas that were entirely neglected. The chair handles have not been wiped down, and there is still loose change and old debris left inside the seat pockets. The seats were also not even damp when I picked it up, which makes me question if they were actually deep cleaned at all. Due to the volume and busyness of the main car wash, it sadly feels like my vehicle wasn't given the time or attention required for a premium valet.
I initially emailed management privately with the photos and videos attached here to request a partial refund so I could finish cleaning the vehicle myself. Management responded via text stating they did not have time to respond via email, and that for £160 a car would be returned "clean but not immaculate." Because they did not appear to have any interest in resolving the matter privately or offering any solution, I felt I had no choice but to share this experience publicly so other local customers are aware. I’d hate for anyone else to be in this position.
I am incredibly disappointed to now have to spend my own time cleaning these basic areas myself. £160 is a massive amount of money to me and I’d checked numerous times that it would be worth the money, so to come home with a car that is dirty and unclean feels incredibly frustrating and unfair.
Stopped off to get a bacon roll and coffee. The coffee was ok a bit on the small side £2. But the bacon roll was disappointing the bacon isn't cooked fresh, so paid £3 for a bacon roll with pre-cooked cold bacon roll. Won't be back for food. I have them two stars because this is more of a carwash than an eating establishment but it isn't hard to cook a bacon roll from fresh.

Hi Dtads,
Thanks for your review. We did used to have a full time staff member working, cooking all food fresh. However recent staffing issues have affected how much we are able to do in our kitchen. Appreciate your review and we are working on resolving the issue.

Had a premium wash and didn't get out of car. When I got home the car was an absolute mess. Parts missed, sills not touched. Was going to book both cars in for a full vallet and this was just an initial exterior clean, but with that wash. I'll not be back.
RESPONSE TO OWNER
So your response is very dismissive of the review. The way to avoid negative reviews is to quality control your service, not simply try and call out customers and state all cars leave immaculate. Clearly not the case. It's not the review that impacts your business, it's the poor wash! If you had simply accepted responsibility and asked me to return to correct it then I probably would have and edited my review to a positive review. Your dismissive response makes me say no ill not go back and I'll correct this elsewhere or even wash it myself. £13 wasred. I'll now take photos and update this tomorrow with the evidence in daylight for all to see and make your own minds up. There is a right way and wrong way to deal with a customer complaint, I hope you learn the difference.

Hi Craig, your negative review impacts my business. We wash our hearts out day in and day out up at The Auld Station. I think all that know us would agree no car has ever arrived an absolute mess and not left absolutely clean.
Kind regards, Cameron Friell the owner who was there washing today. Feel free to contact me to further discuss

Just Stop if on the A68
Long time since anywhere has been good enough for me to do a review but twice in the space of 24 hours I'd doing so. Drove to Edinburgh Saturday morning for a friends wedding - at somewhere called Carlowrie Castle, the other recommendation I'm doing this evening (you need a venue around Edinburgh for 50-100 people look no further. Anyway stopped at the usual places in Jedburgh with offering of Costa coffee and been there since 6am sausage / bacon roll. Passed on the food and started drinking the coffee but kept seeing these signs for car wash n coffee shop and there it was as I left Jedburgh. Thought wtf threw the Costa away and pulled in - car just valeted day b4 so didn't need so no idea what to expect but I needed coffee! Walked in to the most incredible aroma, really nice guy behind counter making staines. Ordered bacon sarnie with haggis slice and whilst he was cooking that his BLT's looked so good got one of them too. BLT stunning but then the bacon sarnie arrived - touch of black sauce.
This morning good breakfast at the Carlowrie but couple of hours later heading South on A68 just couldn't resist so went back in and ordered again with late. I kid you not £2.80 for the bacon sarnie, 50p for the haggis slice and an awesome cup of coffee, total £6 something.
Ok over the last few years value for money for quality food, these boys and girls have it cracked so much so that occasionally take the mutt for a walk round Kielder, someone respond with a good walk nr Jedburgh where the daft lab can swim and swim let me know and I'll be back, for an extra 20 miles or so definitely worth it
