I was recommended Terry's Cycles by my friend and I really appreciate the hard work they put in to overhauling my bike. It was like riding a brand new bike again. They were really accommodating, friendly and a good price overall. I'll definitely come here again. 💙🚴🏻 Thank you so much! 🌟

Thank you.
I dropped my bike in originally to get serviced, but noticed the poor paintwork where it had been sat in the shed… I enquired if they wouldn’t mind stripping the bike to its frame and forks, so I could take care of the paint… Nothing too big or small for the chaps and even recommended a local firm should I want a pro to handle the paint…. I wasn’t expecting it, but received a call a few hours later to say it had been stripped. Big gulp from me. It was all in process.
Fast forward 3 weeks and I had (in a fashion) sprayed my frame and forks, which I dropped off with some handle bar tape from a dubious third party “internet shop” place- which the guys were happy to install.
I returned and have today picked up my Bike. Only it’s not my bike - it feels newer and better than it’s ever been - even with my dodgy paint! Thanks chaps. You’ve been so helpful and so pleased you’ve been able to bring it back.
I hope you have some “Terrys cycles” jerseys, I’ll proudly wear one, if so 👍

Thanks Jason. Hope you can now have many happy (s)miles on the "new" bike.
Took my bike in for a few things to get done on it. I then got loads of work completed that i didn’t ask for which included them adjusting the gears. I then had to take the bike back to adjust the gears as they were previously fine but they were now not due to them touching it without me telling them to. They adjusted the gears again and re aligned my pads which was included in the work i payed for previously and they then tried charging me £30 for doing this when i had already payed for it to be completed properly before hand. He then started making up loads of other stuff that was wrong with the bike to justify the £30. I have been going to this bike shop for years with no issues and now all of a sudden this happens. So disappointed in my experience

I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment. I cannot find the paperwork for the work carried out over a month ago to confirm exactly what was asked for and what was done so cannot comment on that. The removal of an overtightened and rounded out thru-axle is memorable, but not what else was done, sorry. It would have been nice if you had mentioned at the time if there was an issue, rather than waiting, as maybe then we could have tried to sort any issues to your satisfaction. It came back in this week having had a touch of cable settling (a half turn on the cable adjuster fixed the gears, and was no charge). The brakes were rubbing very badly and we were asked to fix that too. We did so, resetting the pistons (it appeared new pads had been fitted) and aligning the callipers. Whether this rub was due to the new pads, accidentally pulling the brakes with the wheel out during transport or something else, I cannot say, but I can say with total certainty that it didn't leave here a month ago like that.
Whilst doing our free safety check we also found that both stem clamp bolts were very loose and the top cap severely over-torqued - to the point of almost, but not safely holding the stem - the bars could be turned independently of the front wheel. The headset was re-adjusted and stem bolts torqued, as letting the bike out without doing so would be unsafe, not to mention bad practice. We did not, at any point ask for ÂŁ30 to do this, however a token ÂŁ10 charge was made for the additional work on the brakes.

Took my sons bike into terrys cycles with a wonky and defective bottom bracket, phoned the following week and they said it was ready, they had discovered that whoever had retro fitted a bb had not done it correctly and as a result it had damaged the frames thread. Nigel recut the thread , fitted a new bb and also rectified the fact that there was an incorrect amount of spacers !!…..it does not end there, he also noticed there was something a miss with the crank, so altered that and also noticed there was a spacer missing on the 12 speed cassette VERY THOROUGH SERVICE , would definitely recommend…thanks Nigel !

Happy to help. Many thanks for your review.
With my first bike packing trip in a few days time, I was attempting to do some bike maintenance but it became apparent after a test cycle ride that it need some much more experienced hands on it. I decided to pop by Terry's Cycles to see if they can help. I explained the issues; falling out of gear and chain getting stuck on lower front gear, and much to my delight, they offered to take it in. Within 24 hours, I got a call to say that everything's been fixed and they replaced the chain, rear cassette and two cables all for amazing value. I picked the bike up and yep, it works like a dream. Thanks very much, this was a great experience and I whole heartedly recommend anyone else to give them a try! 👍

Hi Tom. Would you mind coming in with the bike to discuss this. I've checked our records and cannot find a record of us having serviced/repaired your bike. If we did do something wrong we would obviously try to rectify the problem, but if this is mistaken identity we would like that sorted too.
