Overall decent food but the portions of starters are way too small! Even though the waiters are giving good service, it is very slow! We waited 40 minutes for the main dishes to be served. Everything was way too overpriced, all that drive for such small portions.

Had a great meal at Tanishq Restaurant & Bar in Ongar. The food was packed with flavour — the lamb curry was rich and spicy. The garlic naan and saffron rice were perfect sides, and the mango dessert was a refreshing finish. The place has a calm, elegant vibe with lovely views, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re after proper, well-made Indian food.

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful countryside surroundings and the elegance of the setting—immaculately designed interiors that perfectly balance luxury with warmth. But the real star of the show? The food. Every single dish we tried was bursting with flavour, authenticity, and incredible attention to detail. From the perfectly spiced starters to the rich, aromatic mains, it was truly the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had—and we’ve had a lot! The service was just as impressive—warm, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The entire experience felt special from start to finish. Tanishq absolutely deserves to be on the radar of the Michelin Guide. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience—refined, unforgettable, and worth every moment. We’re already planning our next visit.

We had our daughters Nikkah there last monday. All I can say is it was 10/10. The food was absolutely amazing the staff were superb and the manager (Imran) was on the day extremely kind and helpful. My guest was so impressed with the whole day. I am so happy that they made the day perfect for us. Especially Hassan he helped me with organising the event from start to finish, always there to help and answered all my question's and helped me with all the queries i had. The whole day was 10/10.

This is an exceptional Indian restaurant. The food is fantastic and high quality. Great service and lovely surroundings too.

Excellent food and service with fresh & delicious dishes. My mango salad was beautiful as were the main dishes we had. The waiters are all so friendly & professional. Our excellent desserts were presented to us by the chef himself. We will definitely be back. It’s fabulous

HIDDEN GEM IN ONGAR!! The absolute best indo fusion food I have eaten in a long time! The service from Hasan and Imran is top notch- tailored service from the moment we walked in . Recommended x1 million. We had our wedding here a month ago , and came back for an Iftar - they had complimentary dates and snacks to break our fast with ( what a touch!)

First class service..... Food absolutely amazing... Restaurant set up in an amazing location with spectacular views over the golf course...

Top curry, really worth a visit. We asked the waitor what dish to order on each starter, main and desert and every time it was great. Can't wait to come back
