My absolute favorite restaurant in the entire city. Every dish they make is out of this world delicious — so flavorful and creative!! If you go at an off hour or are a small group, wait times are usually not too bad. They always have such fun and inventive specials. My personal favorite is the collard greens on focaccia—I think about it every day tbh.
Honestly, very disappointing. I ordered the burger with the chef’s choice of vegetables and received a pile of pickled cauliflower that didn’t pair well with the dish at all. The chocolate dessert was also misleading it wasn’t really a chocolate plum dessert, just a mousse and jelly with bits of vegan chocolate mixed in. It was overly sweet to the point of tasting very artificial, and the oats on top made it feel more like a breakfast item than a proper dessert.
The only thing I enjoyed was the dates dessert. Overall, I would say that if you have specific expectations about flavor or balance, this place might not be the right fit. Especially at the price point they have and the high number of great alternatives in the area.
A waiter was really rude and discriminatory. He asked for my ID when I ordered a drink but he didn’t card anyone else. When I checked out, he threw the card reader in front of me and blurted something aggressively. Another bartender explained to me he was going through a “rough breakup”. So weird and so rude. I will never go back again
It’s the best veggie burger I’ve ever had, for that I will always go back and pay whatever they want.
The specials are reaaaalllyy hit and miss. Have had some real duds that were stupidly overpriced. The soda is the size of a thimble. The pearl pie is amazing but have had it when the tapioca balls we’re undercooked and hard. But yeah, the burger is great.
Saved our special occasion, we had a aweful experience at a restaurant down the street who gave our reservation away and we found our way to Superiority Burger and they saved our night!!!
Not only was the food great (which it was the chunked pumpkin and the burger were so so good) but the service did so much to make our night special after an awful time at the other restaurant
I can't say enough great things about this place and will be sending every person who asks for a recommendation from me for a while!
Thank You So Much
This place is magic - the founder brings his eclectic taste to create something truly special.
The Superiority Burger (the namesake!) is pure perfection. The tanginess from the pickles, the soft yet crunchy patty… every bite feels special, like I’m blessed or something. And when I’m in the mood to cheat, I’ll pair it with the fries — also perfection. Everything here tastes so fresh and high-quality.
Burnt Broccoli - again, perfection. It comes with a sauce on the side that’s such a nice surprise, and I go every week and NEVER get bored.
The Date Shake… who would’ve thought it’d be so interesting? The founder always sneaks in elements that elevate the flavor profile - the surprise this time is the orange zest.
Their specials are always exceptional and super creative. I guarantee you won’t see anything like them anywhere else.
And the service - truly great. I’ve seen the same staff for years, which brings a sense of community and continuity that’s rare in the city these days.
So yes… I come here all the time, and I’m never bored! Oh yes it is worth the hype btw!
I visited this restaurant for a solo dinner around 4:50 pm. At the time, the restaurant was fairly empty, with only two other tables occupied. I asked the hostess (who was substituting for the actual host) if I could sit in a booth, but she told me that those seats were reserved for larger parties, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. I understand this policy, but it felt a bit unreasonable given the circumstances.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t improve from there. The hostess was unfriendly, rude, and had an awful attitude. The waitress wasn’t much better— she barely acknowledged me or welcomed me, which was disappointing.
As for the food, it was just okay. I had the Superiority Burger, which I felt was overpriced for what it was. The vibe of the place has potential, and I’d be open to trying other dishes, but the burger didn’t stand out. On a positive note, the gelato was delicious.
Overall, I left feeling really upset by the service. Never a good sign when the staff are that rude.
