As two Brazilians visiting New York for the first time together, we thought we had already fallen in love with the city — until we walked into Superfine.
And suddenly, New York felt different.
After hours wandering through DUMBO under the golden afternoon light, crossing streets full of history, taking photos near the bridge and soaking in the energy of Brooklyn, we found ourselves looking for “just a place to eat and have a drink.” What we discovered instead was one of the most memorable nights of our entire trip.
Superfine is not simply a bar or restaurant. It is a feeling. It is atmosphere. It is soul.
From the very first second we stepped inside, there was this magnetic warmth in the air — the kind of place that makes you instantly relax your shoulders and smile without even noticing. The lighting was intimate and cinematic, the music wrapped around the room perfectly, and every corner felt effortlessly cool in that way only Brooklyn can achieve. Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt artificial. It felt alive.
The playlist deserves its own standing ovation. Whoever curates the music here understands exactly how to create emotion through sound. Every song blended perfectly into the next, creating this electric yet cozy energy that made us want to stay for hours. It was impossible not to look around and think: “This is exactly what we imagined a perfect New York night would feel like.”
And then came the drinks.
Absolutely phenomenal.
Balanced, flavorful, beautifully crafted, and served with genuine enthusiasm. Not the kind of cocktails made only for aesthetics — these were drinks made by people who clearly care about creating an experience. Every sip somehow matched the atmosphere of the room: bold, vibrant, relaxed, unforgettable.
The food completely exceeded our expectations. Truly. In a city overflowing with restaurants, it’s rare to find a place where the food tastes as memorable as the environment feels — but Superfine managed to do both flawlessly. Everything arrived fresh, comforting, flavorful and beautifully presented without trying too hard. You can feel there is passion behind the kitchen.
But above all, what made this evening unforgettable was the people.
The staff at Superfine gave us something tourists never forget: kindness.
Not the robotic, rehearsed kind of service that exists in many busy places — but authentic warmth. Every interaction felt genuine. Every recommendation came with enthusiasm. Every smile felt sincere. As foreigners far from home, that kind of hospitality means more than words can explain.
There are places you visit because they are famous.
And then there are places you remember because they made you feel something.
Superfine gave us that feeling.
It gave us the kind of night that becomes part of the story you tell when people ask about New York years later. The kind of place you accidentally discover and then spend the rest of your trip comparing every other place to.

I had an amazing experience and was there for one of their live jazz shows! It was an absolutely incredible time being so close to the band and performers! The volume was perfect 👌. Tons of tables and seats at and around the bar in this very spacious venue. I will be back there when they have another jazz concert which I think is on every other Wednesday. Oh and the drinks are strong 💪
