Went on random Tuesday and honestly was very underwhelmed. The restaurant is very cold I didn't want to take my jacket off. The hostess didn't want to seat us even though dinner was slated to start in 15 min. Normally that wouldn't annoy me but it felt like 15 degrees out. One of the servers came to the rescue and ask the manager to seat us.
Appetizers- coconut shrimp (under cook and a little cold) calamari (salty)-Dinner- Roasted Herb Chicken (under cook only seasoned on the outside tasted bland )which was weird since dinner serving just started so i would expect things to be hot and fresh. Salmon was very good but it came with 3 broccolini, thee plate was underwhelming. HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH and fries was actually amazing. Drinks COMET’S COSMO- really good hated the glass/cup it came in.
The restaurant had so much staff seemed excessive for a small place but they all where extremely pleasant and warm.
I will come back to try the breakfast but never for Dinner unfortunately.
I had an amazing time at Sunday in Brooklyn! It was my first time coming here and it did not disappoint. My server was Nico, who was extremely attentive, offered great recommendations, and was so fun! I had the champagne problems and the breakfast scramble. I would come back just for the service alone. 10/10!
C’mon holiday spirit!!! Get here, snuggle in to a cozy spot, order a warm latte, and just sit back and enjoy. The shaksuka was amaze, the pancake divine, but the people and the atmosphere all worked to make Sunday in Brooklyn an enchanting experience. I wish I could remember our server’s name (I’m an old lady and the memory is going) but he was a kind soul who kept the coffee and cheer comin all morning. Thanks Sunday in Brooklyn!
