We visited Streets of Punjab during our Easter holiday trip to Melbourne from Sydney, and it was such a wonderful experience!
The food truly felt like home. The dal makhani was perfectly cooked with rich flavors, and the shahi paneer with chapati was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we tried hot gulab jamun with ice cream, carrot halwa, ras malai, and jalebi with rabri and every single item was amazing and full of authentic taste.
The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was impressively quick something you did not always find. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with plenty of seating, making it perfect for a relaxed family dinner.
Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic, home-style Punjabi food in Melbourne🫰🏻❣️
Very unfriendly atmosphere. Some religious chanting was playing. Not welcoming for other than punjabis it seems. The waitress was happily talking to a Punjabi family while a South Indian family was given table next to the door and not smiling or making you welcome to the restaurant. Won’t come back. Food was above average.
Went ordered sweet lassi, yammy jalebi , mlai kofta curry and chicken tikka msala and butter Naan, everything was good, naans were really soft. And jalebi was fresh not overly sweet. And yes 10/10 fast service, girls were serving food with a smile on their faces ,music was a little loud.
