I was a stash user for many years until the closed my account t out of the blue for absolutely no reason other than I had to dispute a $20 charge from my account. There was no warning and nothing I can do about. They just took my account and all my money and now I have to wait for my funds for who knows how long. Horrible customer service!!!!
This has been one of the worst experiences I've had when trying to close and cancel an account. The account was requested to be closed several weeks ago, then it took at least 2 weeks for the company to close out everything in order to refund the money I had deposited. And now I'm having to research and send in documentation that was sent by the company regarding my cancelation (on 12/29/24) and the refund to my bank account that was stated to take 3-5 business days and if there was any sort of issue with said refund, I have never been notified. Just a horrible experience all around. Will not use again and definitely will not recommend either.

Fraudulent Charges
After having closed and deactivated my account several years ago, they started charging me the $3 a month a few months ago. I just caught it and had to close the account again, getting the runaround typical canned responses from stash support. Steer clear of this company and this app, and if you have closed an account check to see if you are still being charged. Insane.

Customer Service is USELESS
Their customer service team was absolutely useless. They didn’t give me any information or answer any of my questions. They have someone new rely to each email. They can take my money but can be of any help to me. I referred someone, they created an account and I never received $20 for referring someone to THEIR COMPANY.

Too many pop-ups
Recent versions have too many pop-up promotions for suggested investments. The app is okay aside from that, and a few persistent bugs, but has been trending worse lately as far as usability goes. Hopefully they’ll reduce or eliminate the promotional pop-ups in a future update.
Used To Love Now Hate
I’ve had Stash for 8 years. Their user interface is very bad. Everyday functions are buried in menus like check cashing etc, definitely not what I’d call intuitive. I never had an issue with my investment portfolio until a few months ago I keep getting penalized and no real reason as to why. Stash is my only bank and there’s funds there. Customer service is horrible no real answer about how to resolve issue, escalating it just closes the problem and I’m stuck in this loop. Many banks like this make cuts like this year after year until they kill their product. Changing user interface to make it intuitive and then saving money on constant frivolous user interface changes going back into customer service issues to solve problems would be great. Also the text to help should be communicating with a representative not bringing up a glossary of dead ends.

I’d suggest someone else
They sold my stock without permission. They claim I didn’t pay a fee I didn’t know I had till after they sold my stock. They all did this while having access to my bank account (had access the entire time), where they could have gotten the fee but chose to get rid of my stock instead. Terrible business practices, I’d go elsewhere.

This really a great app and the people here listen to feedback it seems; I just have a bone to pick. The in-app ad states "$5 a week could be more than $500 in 2 years." Now whoever came up with and whoever decided that was good must be really great in marketing but failed elementary level math. Let's break it down: there are 52 weeks in a year and you're saying 2 years, so that is 104 weeks. $5 a week for 104 weeks is $520. So there is no "could be" it is. Now investing it could make it $800-$1,000, but I digress.
Double edged sword!
I like the app!I like the new graph feature that’s show your progress. Now the only thing I don’t like about it is that it takes like 3 hours ( more/ less) to execute a command over all its great and . Good job Keep improving guys also I just like how you just enter the amount you want to invest or sell…. Easy as 1,2,3
