Julie has helped my son gain massive confidence in his speech over the last couple of years she has been working with him. She has a warm, patient manner with him and has developed a relationship with him where he feels comfortable in the space. The activities are carefully tailored and Julie gives the support to us as parents to continue the work done with her at home.
There is great comfort knowing we have Julie’s support and expertise as we try to help our son achieve his best.

We spoke with Julie around a year and half ago after concerns about our daughter's speech and autism.
Julie was extremely helpful and setup a learning plan around our daughter's favourite activities and games which worked great.
I would recommend Julie and her team to anyone who has concerns over their child's speech development. Our daughter loved going to the practice and we feel this was key in her progression

We had an exceptional experience while seeking support for our 2-year-old. The environment was not only safe and welcoming, but also perfectly suited for our child's comfort and learning. The members of staff are extremely knowledgeable and effectively coached us on how to assist our child at home. The results were both immediate and significant, making a noticeable difference straight away. We are incredibly grateful for the guidance and support provided and would not hesitate to return if we need further assistance in the future. Highly recommend to any parent seeking speech therapy services for their child!

We found Speech Stuff at a time we were anxious for our child to start Speech Therapy and worried we wouldn’t find an SLT that would be a good fit. With Speech Stuff, there are no labels, just interactive sessions with therapists who are clearly passionate about what they do. We couldn’t have asked for more.

My son, his school and I were lucky to receive support around selective mutism a few years ago from Julie. Her training had a huge impact on how the school supported us and other families. He gradually gained so much confidence, he requested a speaking part in a Harvest Festival, and has since taken speaking roles in other celebrations and nativities. I really can't thank her enough!

I have been having sessions with Julie Cota for my son who is having delayed speech who also has autism and I can’t fault Julie one bit. We love our sessions with Julie and my son absolutely loves going. Julie is always on hand when I have had any questions and always giving great advice and tips. We started working with Julie this time last year to help our little boy progress with his speech. Julie is so patient and knowlegeable, not only in helping our son but also answering the many questions i had. Julie was very accomodating with sessions, including nursery visits, and provided great resources which we still use now. I would 100% recommend!

Julie and Julie were amazing at my recently visit to speech stuff with my son. They gave me some really good advice on how to help and encourage his speech. They were really friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Speech Stuff changed our lives. Our son had delayed speech and really struggled to communicate. He went from being really frustrated, introvert and miserable to the happiest/confident little boy. He is absolutely thriving at Nursery, I would definitely recommend Speech Stuff to anyone whose child is having speech difficulties.

Julie is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She is brilliant at suggesting suitable strategies to implement and explaining the theories behind different techniques. As my son has madr progresses Julir has suggested new strategies relative to his speech and language needs. Most importantly Julie is absolutely lovely, she listens to your concerns, offers support and she genuinely cares about the children. My son enjoys attending sessions and each time he makes progress.

I worked with Julie in 2021 after feeling concerned around my son’s speech development. He had just turned two and was only using around 7-9 words. Julie’s services supported us as parents to give my little boy a range of speaking and listening opportunities. I learned so much about communication and the development of speech and language working with Julie. We would work together to focus on my boy’s interests and from this she gave me a repertoire of strategies and new ways of communicating with him. She did this by observing video clips or me and Luke playing together and commenting on our interactions. Some sessions she would watch me playing live with Luke and as she did, she would offer guidance and support, or she would begin to interact with him, modelling some great speech and language strategies. This was so helpful for me to learn in the moment as I was able to take it all away and put into action with Luke. After only a few weeks Luke was babbling more and beginning to use his voice to communicate. Once he began to use his new words there was no stopping him! He’s now 3 and never stops talking! I fully believe his progress came down to the new and changes approach we used with alike after working with Julie. Since working with her, I have used many of the play based ideas with my youngest and feel so much more knowledgable around this area of development. I am confident in supporting my children’s communication now. Thank you for all you did. Luke is a much happier and confident boy for it. I would 100% recommend Julie.

I can highly recommend This service! I’ve worked with Julie for a number of years and I have seen first hand how amazing and dedicated she is to her work. I have a just turned 3 year old who loves the resources on the website. He asks everyday to play!
His speech and language development has definitely benefited from these resources!
I always thought his communication and understanding was good but using these resources has had a huge impact! The conversation the resources spark are in-depth and every time we play or use them his language improves! He takes what we learn from here and is able to transfer this to other situations and conversations!
The best part is some of these resources are free and available for anyone to use!
