Works well but the on/off situation is tricky
I like this product because of the potential benefits of red light therapy. Pros are that it is rechargeable via USB and that it is compact/good for traveling too. The only con would be that the device turns on automatically when you touch it to your moisturized skin. This sort of works but it is very tricky/finicky at times. The newer version of the wand has an actual on/off button. Also, the serum smells nice and is very hydrating. I used it a few times already and it did not irritate my skin at all.
This is a great product when and if it works.
I ordered this Solawave in January. I loved it . I was using this daily for 2 weeks then it just died on me. I called the company directly , the customer service was excellent. The woman that I spoke with was helpful and understanding. She replaced my Solawave . My second one wouldn't hold a charge , and it died on me after 1 month. I loved using it . So now I have 2 that don't work.
Overheats and won’t turn off
After months of using, the on off mechanism is out of control. It will not turn off and I have to either keep it plugged in or drain the battery while letting it overheat. Why couldn’t they just add an on off switch? No brainer! Instead it’s a cycle of letting it drain or leave it plugged in, and I can’t just use it on demand. Do not recommend this product or company. The support was not helpful and said the solution for me was to buy a new one. Better off trying the hands free light face masks that are available now.
didn't last a month without breaking
Based on product info and reviews, I plugged it in overnight before first use. During the first week it seemed to work well. During second week it seemed to overheat and stop working? Not sure. It would work for half my face but when I stopped to apply product to other half, it would be hard to get the wand to start up again. Tried charging it overnight again and that didn't help any, would just have to wait an hour or two to come back to it. Got progressively worse and less likely to work when I picked it up, despite being fully charged. Not sure what happened to it. But sent it back.
Does Not Do a Thing
I have used this REGULARLY (3-4x weekly) for about the last 8 weeks specifically under my eyes. I follow the instructions for use and in those 8 weeks I have noticed ZERO change in the texture or appearance of my skin. Regardless of what other reviews may tell you I have found this to be a complete waste of time and money.
Shuts off constantly.
My wife likes this when it works, but it shuts off constantly. I always see her shaking it and tapping it trying to get it working again. Other than that it's fine, but the constant powering off is super annoying. It always comes back on, and it's not a charging issue because it does it even when fully charged.
Poor quality, poor customer service
This should really be “O” stars. I bought 2 of these devices, one for each home and they both stopped working after about 8 weeks of daily use. I reached out to the manufacturer on their website and through Amazon and never received a response from these complaints. I would not purchase anything from solawave again!
Doesn’t turn off
This thing sucks. It is so finicky about turning “off.” So essentially it won’t turn off, vibrates, and eventually dies. Everytime I go to use it then, I have to charge it (30 - 45 min). This whole taco has caused me to not be able to use it like 3 out of 4 times. I would return it but I’m just past 30 days. UGHHHHHH
Nice red light therapy tool
This wand is a good option for red light therapy if you don’t want to get an entire mask. You can also focus in more detail on specific sections of your face and neck. It holds a charge for a very long time and is easy to turn on and off. The serum is also nice. It’s cooling, is not sticky, and doesn’t leave a residue. To charge, the wand plugs into a USB. It’s small and easy to use for travel.
