I visited the Dental Practice yesterday with my son for our routine check-up.
From the moment we arrived, the lovely receptionist Jane made us feel at home and welcome us with a warm smile!
Dr Joshi and Alexandra the Dental Nurse were very professional, calm and quite humorous, explaining every single detail they were doing, leaving nothing to chance. The technology they used were of very high standard which made us even more at ease. We would gladly recommend Smile Lounge to anyone that needed an excellent professional dentist! I've been going to Smile Lounge for about 2.5 years now, for various small issues and things I've wanted to improve about my smile for a long time. They’re a small local surgery who I've always found to be caring, understanding and professional. The advice I receive from the Doctor is straightforward & easy to understand, and I’ve never felt (like I do with some other dentists), that I’m being sold to or had a pushy sales treatment.
I had a tooth drilled for a bigger filling. The filling did not sit as tight to the tooth next to it as it was before, which means it becomes a trap for every food that I eat. Turns out the doctor drilled so deep and destroyed the entire tooth anyway. Which now means I will have to go to Holford Partners Curaden Dental Clinic to get an implant done. Thanks for nothing.
This company is completely unprofessional and useless. They treated my osteoarthritis badly—irrelevant advice, ineffective treatment, and zero concern for my well-being. The staff was rude, and the facility was dirty. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

I had a fantastic experience today at Smile Lounge Dental Care for an Airflow Cleaning and Stain Removal procedure, and I couldn't be happier with the results!
From the moment I arrived, Dr Hiten Joshi and the team made me feel welcome and at ease. The Dr Joshi and Alexandria (Dental Nurse), were incredibly professional, explaining each step of the procedure and making sure I was comfortable throughout. The Airflow system they use is brilliant — it was gentle yet thorough, removing surface stains and leaving my teeth feeling cleaner and looking visibly brighter instantly.
What I especially appreciated was how gentle, pain-free and quick the whole treatment was. It’s so much better than the traditional scale and polish I’ve had elsewhere. The clinic itself is spotless, modern, and relaxing, which really helped make the visit a pleasant one.
I would highly recommend Smile Lounge Dental Care to anyone considering an Airflow Cleaning treatment. It’s well worth it for a fresher, healthier smile. I’ll definitely be returning for future appointments!

I had a very disappointing experience with Smile Lounge Dental Care due to poor handling of NHS exemption claims and unexpected charges (I was charged £190 for implant glueing which fell off in a few weeks). I clearly stated that I pay for my NHS prescriptions and am not entitled to free dental treatment. Despite this, I received a penalty charge from the NHSBSA for a claim made under my name without my knowledge or consent. The dental practice provided a form with my signature, contradicting what I had explained. The free dental treatment claim was made for the unnecessary temporary treatment during a check for my own mouth guard fit. These errors and charges have resulted in an unfair penalty and loss of trust in their administrative processes and treatment abilities. I do not recommend this clinic if you want reliable handling of NHS claims or transparency in charges. Even 1 star is too much for me to give.
It's all about the money!
I have a disability and on a low income.
I found it difficult to find an NHS dentist and was happy when Smile Lounge had a vacancy! Little did I know that this practice will go to any lengths to not treat you on the NHS.......
On my third visit, where I was in pain due to an infected gum, I was told there was nothing to be done (on the NHS) but was given several options if I were to be treated privately.
I asked to be referred to a NHS hospital but was refused and told they wouldn't be able to treat me either. I asked for antibiotics before I left but apparently the NHS funds had been exhausted. On my way out, I was then told that I was being struck off from the practice.
Where has all the compassion and caring gone in the dental profession? You won't find it with the dentist at the Smile Lounge........although I have no complaints with the lovely receptionist.
Good service. Polite. The work that was carried out was excellent! And i am very pleased. Good result.

Guys please avoid this clinic, the dentist is so rude and unprofessional. Would never recommend to anyone.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Service Quality and Inappropriate Treatment Due to Language Barrier
To Dr Joshi
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the dental service I received at your clinic on 17/10/24. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the quality of care provided. The treatment did not meet my expectations, and I believe the service fell below the standard I anticipated from your clinic.
Furthermore, I would like to bring to your attention a more serious concern. During my visit, I felt disrespected due to my lack of English proficiency. I was made to feel uncomfortable and belittled by Dr Joshi, which added unnecessary stress to an already uncomfortable experience. I believe that patients, regardless of their language skills, deserve to be treated with respect and understanding.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to ensure that no other patients experience the same treatment. Additionally, I would appreciate a prompt response outlining how this issue will be addressed and what actions will be taken to prevent it from happening again. I request my Xray from previous appointment, to be sent to my email address urgently because I have been charged £95 today just for an assesment no treatment undertaken.
I hope that future interactions with your clinic will reflect a more positive and respectful experience for all patients. But from my experience today Im not recommending this dental clinic to anyone.
