Works quickly and easily. May require re-application
We've got old six-inch white ceramic tile on the screen porch and two dogs. When there is moisure from rain, condensation from temperature changes or other "material" on the tile, it gets extremely slipperly, almost like ice. With the condensation in particular, you could stand flat-footed and push off a table or something and slide for days. We're both well past the age where a slip-and-fall on a hard surface is funny. so I thought I try something. There are a number of products out there that advertise treating hard surfaces to make them slip-resistant, but this one was well-reviewed and seemed easy to apply. I agree.LIKESApplication was simple. No gloves, terrible fumes or lingering smell -- just spread it, let it dry a few minutes and rinse. That's it. This is a screen porch with a floor already angle for drainage, so a bucket or two of water did the trick. The resulting surface was immediatelye "non-slip" in a way that's hard to describe. Not gritty, not tacky. Just far less "slick." It immediately felt much safer to walk on, and when damp, there was no more sliding with every step (or just standing there flat-footed) as before.NO SO LIKESWe have to spray the porch floor with various Lysol-type products on a regular basis due to dirt and the dogs. Over a few months, I think the slip resistance has faded somewhat, although not entirely. I'm thinking this may be a twice-a-year situation to keep it up. But even if so, that's not bad for the price and the ease of use.Four sure-footed stars.
No slips!
My husband bought a pizza shop in November and had all of the floors remodeled. The current flooring tends to get slippery when mopped, so we ordered this anti slip treatment to see if it would help create a safer work enviornment. Overall, this stuff does a fantastic job on the porcelain tiles and helps keep people safe around the dish washing area and after the shop closes. Its super easy to mix together, dries fairly fast, and we haven't had to do any sort of reapplication as of yet. The product seems extremely durable and for that it has great value. Overall highly recommended in commercial settings!
Application was smooth and easy, and I feel safer after applying.
When I received this anti-slip Tile Treatment, the liquid had a pinkish/purplish color that made me wonder if the color of the product would give the tiles a color change. Before I applied the product to my walk-in shower tiles, I had several left-over tiles that had never been installed, I applied the product to them first. I could not tell any color difference between the tile that had be treated and the other tile that had no treatment. After treating my walk-in shower, I really couldn't tell any major change in slickness. If there was a difference, it was minor....but any help in preventing a fall is welcomed and I feel safer after applying.
A quick and easy solution to a potentially dangerous problem
I got this anti slip tile treatment for use on our porcelain tiles in the entry way. Rugs are nearly impossible to not snag with the front door sweep, so it's nice to add and not slip around when it rains (rare here). The solution goes on pretty easy. Just spray, wait and polish/wipe clean. There's a kind of matte transformation on the treated surfaces, so you probably want to do a whole area (like our entry) rather than creating a yellowbrick road kind of effect where the sheen is different on the heavily trafficked areas. It's somewhat wasteful and uses more product, but the even finish is much more pleasing to look at.It works. It'll probably wear out every year, but it's far less invasive than a chemical etching that would permanently alter the tile. It definitely increases the slip safety factor in our entry.
Easy to apply and does improve grip, but don't expect miracles
I used this anti-slip treatment on a small section of smooth tile that tends to get slippery when wet, and overall it worked okay for what I needed. This is actually the first product of this type I’ve tried, so I don’t have a solid basis for comparison, but it did make a noticeable difference.Application was straightforward. You clean the surface, apply the liquid, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse/neutralize. It’s not messy and doesn’t leave a sticky or coated feeling afterward. Once dry, the tile looks basically the same as before - no visible film or texture - but it feels slightly more “grippy” underfoot. It’s subtle rather than dramatic, but enough that I feel a bit more confident walking on it when the floor is damp.I like that it doesn’t change the appearance of the tile and doesn’t seem to leave residue. It’s more of a treatment than a coating. Coverage is decent for the bottle size, too.Since I don’t have experience with similar products, it’s hard for me to judge how strong or long-lasting it is compared to others. It’s not a miracle fix, but it does help reduce slipperiness.Overall, a simple, easy-to-use solution that improves traction without altering the look of your floors.
Excellent Solution for Slippery Outdoor floors
We purchased this anti-slip coating specifically for a small outdoor landing area outside our back door. The builder had used smooth "wall" tiles on the floor, which became quite slippery and dangerous even with minimal moisture. We took a chance on this product, and we are very pleased! The coating has significantly increased the traction on the tiled surface, making the area much safer and more secure to walk on, even when damp. So far, so good! We are very satisfied with the immediate results. The real test now will be how well it holds up to the harsh weather of a Northeast winter, and whether the non-slip properties and the coating itself remain intact come spring.
Slightly Better Traction in Shower.
This did work to make my bathtub a little less slippery, although I'm not sure the marginal difference it made is worth the steep price. The product is non-greasy , easy to use, dries fast, and doesn't change the appearance of the treated surface. Hopefully the result will be durable.
A Total Game-Changer for a Slippery Patio
So I live in a house where some genius decided to pave the small patio off the back door with stone shower tiles, which means that whole area turns into an ice-skating rink during rain or snow. Honestly, it does not even feel safe on the driest of days. I have been worried not only about people walking on it, but especially about my elderly dogs. One of them is very tentative about crossing it unless the mats are down.I did not even know a product like this existed, but I am so glad I found it and that it is safe for both people and pets. It has made a massive difference in the confidence my old guy has when walking across that space, and it has definitely made me feel better about improving his safety.I was a little worried about things like pet hair, leaves, or dirt sticking to the treated surface, but that was not the case at all. It does not leave any kind of sticky or tacky finish. It simply makes the tiles a little grippy so you do not slip.Application was easy. You just follow the steps, let it sit, neutralize, rinse, and that is it. It works on natural stone, ceramic, porcelain, unsealed concrete, slate, travertine, and similar surfaces. It does not change how the tile looks, it just gives it traction. And it was ready to use again within minutes.I cannot speak yet to how long it will last, but as long as it keeps performing like it has been, I will keep using it. For now, it has transformed a hazardous patio into something far safer for both humans and pets. Total peace of mind in a bottle.
A bit pricey but effective
I don’t know if my bathroom tile is glazed porcelain or ceramic, but I do know that it is slippery when wet. I’ve been looking for a solution other than rugs or putting towels down on the floor after showering.I followed the directions for cleaning, drying and applying the product, and I left it on for 6 minutes. After rinsing, I could immediately feel a difference with my hand. The untreated surfaces (such as behind the toilet) were smooth and glossy slick, but the treated surfaces all had a bit of a tack to it, with only a minor or unnoticeable change in appearance of the tile surface.I like the fact this product works with minimal effort. The pinkish orange tint makes makes it easy to tell where it has been applied, and also aids in wiping it all up completely when rinsing. How long this treatment will be effective remains to be seen, but plenty remains in the bottle for my future needs. Despite the cost, I would recommend this product to solve a slippery tile problem because prevention is worth it.
Slightly rough surface
I built my own oversized wobble board, for the use in dog trick training. This tape adhered well to the varnish surface and should be durable. I haven't tested its waterproof properties but it's decorative and adds slip resistance... works extremely well for this use. It was simply a matter of cut to length/shape and apply.
Easy to apply, works so far
I'm giving this 5 stars but with a caveat. The bottle states it will last 2 - 3 years and I do not know if that is the case. It has been applied for a couple of weeks and it is working so far. This was definitely easy to apply. Clean the area, I used a pressure washer first then let it dry out. Go back and spray it on. They don't really say how much to spray on. The qt bottle says it covers 100sq ft but I used maybe 2/3 of the bottle on 100sq ft so either I used too little or it covers more then they say. When I sprayed it on the tile surface it was all wet from the spray so I just assume I did it right. I decided to leave it on for the 7 minutes which is the longest it is supposed to stay on for. No clue what would happen if you leave it on longer. After, rinse it off, then dry it. I just kind of removed the standing water off the surface after rinsing the product off. Not dry dry. The tiles don't look any different which is a good thing, but I have noticed a difference when they are wet after rain There is definitely more grip on them. They are less slippery now than before. More so when wearing shoes with traction then bare feet, but all around it's better. This is for outdoor tiles. There was no smell at all and the coverage area from the sprayer was great. It was so easy to apply. I really do hope it lasts for a couple years. If that's the case. I'll keep purchasing this because I have the worst tiles in my front yard and this is the cheapest alternative to avoid a lawsuit and injury to myself.
Works great!
We got this last month to try out and it's working great! We sprayed it out our porch tiles that get especially slippery. It's helped a lot with making it safer for our kids to walk around on. I will say, yes this isn't a cheap product, but it does work well. It wasn't difficult to use at all. It was easy to read the included directions/instructions to figure out how to put it down the right way. The sprayers worked really well. It didn't change the appearance of the porch or anything. It also didn't have like a strong odor or anything significant or offputting. It's a really good effective product from my experience using it. I'd get it again.
High Quality Impressive Treatment and Cleaner Solutions
I have waited long enough to use this product and then share my feedback about this Anti Slip Floor Tile Treatment and Floor Cleaner. I used it on my bathroom tiles and well as the stone & concrete on the outside of the house. The concept is quite easy - firstly clean the floor and let it dry, followed by the treatment with this solution. It really helps to increase the floor traction within minutes. I'd highly recommend to use this solution in houses and businesses especially with young children and senior citizens. It is almost odorless and colorless upon implementation and there isn't any visible layer on the floor. I am truly impressed by the quality and durability of this cleaner and treatment solution, and would highly recommendy recommend it.
Also works on fiberglass shower
Even though this product is meant for tile, I used it on an old fiberglass shower floor. Several years ago, I had refinished the shower with Bathworks Refinishing kit, and the antiskid on the floor has recently become somewhat slippery and not so antiskid. I scrubbed the floor with Comet, rinsed and dried it before cleaning again with step one of this product. The directions for this product are pretty straightforward, and it was easy to use. I was expecting to have to wear a ventilator with the product, like I had to do when using the Bathworks, but there was very little to no smell. I did wear a mask and gloves, just to be safe, but again, there was no toxic smelling fumes. I'm happy to say it worked great at making my shower floor antiskid and not so slippery. I can't say how well it works on tile, but if you have fiberglass shower or tub, this helps to make it a little safer.
Works on Concrete Floor
I ordered this Slip No More! Anti Slip Floor Tile Treatment and I'm happy with it. I have a section of my garage floor where the concrete is unsealed. That part of the floor has absolutely no texture, and when it gets wet, it's very slick, and it's right where we have to walk to get from the garage into the house. I've almost wiped out on that section multiple times, and I wanted to do something to improve it.I cleaned that section with the cleaner first. I used the cleaner solution undiluted, as the floor there was fairly dirty, and gave it a good scrubbing with a sturdy broom. I rinsed it, then let it dry. Then I sprayed on the treatment and let it sit for the full 5 minutes, then rinsed it off. The whole application process was pretty easy. That section is noticeably less slippery now. It doesn't look any different than before in terms of color or sheen, but it feels a lot safer now, so I'd say it works really well. Preventing even one fall or injury makes this worth the cost to me.
Easy to apply & effective
We have a very small tiled bathroom that is used by my granddaughter. The tile becomes very slippery when wet, and it always gets wet when she takes a bath. I didn't know there was a solution for this problem until I ran across this project. Before applying it, I did my homework. Tilework is expensive and I didn't want to risk ruining it. I found many positive reviews for this product, which made me feel comfortable using it. A QR code on the box took me to a video that demonstrates how to use the product, which I appreciate as a visual learner. The first step is to use the cleaner on the floor. I thoroughly cleaned my floor prior to spraying the cleaner (blue bottle) from the kit to ensure it would be fully prepped for the treatment. I didn't want to risk the cleaner not being able to do its intended job because of residue from hairspray or other grime. It's so easy to apply the products in this kit because they are in spray bottles. I appreciate that they do not have strong chemical smells because I am super sensitive to the fumes from cleaning products. The video instructs to use a broom or scrub brush with the cleaner, while the printed instructions simply say to thoroughly clean the floor. The cleaner needs to be rinsed with water and dried before moving on to the anti-slip solution. I used my mop for this step and allowed it to air dry. Before spraying the anti-slip solution on the floor, you must shake the bottle. The tile needs to be fully covered with the solution. I started in the far corner and worked my way towards the exit so I didn't step on the area that had already been sprayed. My bathroom is tiny, so I was able to treat it all at once. If you have a larger bathroom, you will likely need to split it up into sections. The anti-slip solution needs to sit for a period of time depending on the type of tile it is applied to. I wasn't sure if my tile was glazed ceramic (2-4 minutes) or polished porcelain (3-7 minutes) so I set a timer for four minutes. In bold font, they warn not to allow the treatment to dry on the tiles so it is important not to lose track of time for this step. This is why it is important to split the floor up into sections if you are working on a large tile floor. Mine is so tiny that I could easily do it all at once. The floor needs to be rinsed thoroughly with water, so I mopped it with water several times until I was satisfied the treatment had been successfully removed. Once the floor dried, I was relieved to see that the tiles looked exactly the same as they had before the treatment. Our deco tiles have an intricate style and multiple colors. The coloring was completely unaffected. I found the treatment to be easy to apply and effective. The floor now has some grip when my granddaughter splashes water everywhere. It is worth the price of $64.99, in my opinion, to prevent a potential accident from slipping in the bathroom. I have extra product left over in case I want to reapply it in the future. According to the listing, it lasts for years. This product gives me some peace of mind and I no longer worry so much that my granddaughter or I will fall on the slippery bathroom floor.
Works as stated; my floors are much less slippery when wet now!
We have a tile master bathroom and used this in there. We have bath mats in front of our sinks, shower and jetted tub, but every you still have to make it to those locations after a shower/bath if you forget the towel or something like that. This creates a slip risk and recently my wife forgot her hair brush on her vanity and went to grab it and slipped a bit, causing her to pull a muscle in her groin. I decided to give this a try and it really did work well. It makes things way less slippery when wet. It was pretty easy to apply (though a bit time consuming as I was on my hands/knees spraying and applying it). You basically have 3 main steps:1.) Clean - Spray the cleaner and brush around to clean2.) Rinse - Spray with water, wipe up until dry3.) Apply Grip Product - Spray on the grip product and let it sit for a while, rinse again and you're done. It's a good value for the money. My tile is still the same color and looks the same as it did before, but it's now less slippery. There is no funny smell or anything like that either. I'm pleased with it for the price and it is advertised as lasting years, so hopefully it does indeed last and we can avoid slipping in the bathroom while in a hurry!
