Extremely disappointing experience. The worker was very rude and even installed the wrong colour dustpan on both our skylights. For three months I was told it would be fixed, but instead I was given the runaround and nobody ever showed up. After all that waiting, nothing was resolved. I would never use this company again and do not recommend them.

Simply did not front nor contact me of delay, change or apology. Not a good way to run a business.

Eddie is the guy, he really does know everything and most importantly he is very polite and very professional. Had problem with my skylight. Took a while but fixed everything. Best guys.
My new replacement skylight is not leaking anymore and looks so much nicer with the insulation out of the window (stupid gecko's!). I've been looking up at it for a year and I'm still happy with it. Thanks Gold Coast Skylights for giving me a cost effective option back then, which I'm still so happy with!

Lengthy delays, poor communication regarding quoting of what they did and did not do.
After initial planning and go ahead, we required repositioning of the key-lite window as it had been put in a position away from the centre of the room affecting best sunlight coming into the room - if we had not needed the window repositioned we would not have seen the mould affected dirty untreated wood used for the plasterboard framing.
Unacceptable in roofing by any code. Especially in QLD.
Final plasterboard work was uneven against the straight edges of the window frame and still requires gap sealing by a painter which will add more cost.
In fair balance the window does not leak, and the final result was satisfactory and acceptable. Although I find the (now) use of treated fencing timbers as framing material odd.
We will not be seeking further work from this business.
If you do use this company be sure to discuss everything you need fully first, and arrange a schedule of works.
We are very happy with our 3 new keylite windows. Quality workmanship and reliable. Both Eddie and Ben were very respectful and worked to a very high standard.
We are very happy with the new Velux skylight in our kitchen, it has transformed the space. Eddie also moved an existing solar tube to another room for us. We cannot fault the work, the communication or friendly service provided, and the price was great. Thank you Eddie and Merima.
These guys were great to deal with. Gave good advice as to which product to go with and advised on where to position the skylights. Great job doing the install, very happy with everything including the price.
Horrible quality install, multiple skylights leak, and they didnt tape up sarking so now another part of our roof leaks. If you tell them they are leaking you won’t hear back from them
If there was a Zero, I would have used it. Had 2 skylights fitted & one with LED light sensor. Worked well for a period of time & then didn't do what it was designed & supposed to. After several attempts & broken appointment times Eddie finally turned up. Said it was a faulty control pad. Said he would get another. Once again, I had to contact him about. He never was the one to contact me & say part has arrived, when can I change it over. Finally came & changed it over. Said see how that goes & contact me to let him know. Well contacted him & it wasn't okay. Said it must be the sensor. Had to chase him up again. Then replaced the sensor, didn't fix the problem. I requested a complete replacement. Said he would get a complete replacement unit. He never contacted me that he had it. I had to contact him. Now he tells me he is in Europe & would get Bryce to fit 20/7/24. Get text from Eddie 20/7/24 @ 6.37am saying he is in Europe & Bryce messaged him saying he is not working today. I requested a refund previously if the appointment was not met on 20/7/24. Eddie requested my bank details to to do a refund & said he would fix the one I have when he returns at no charge. Well I'm still waiting for my refund. This has been going on from the 23/4/24. This is a condensed summary of my experience with Gold Coast Skylights & Roof Ventilation.
So if you want to deal with a so called "business", who is not prepared to providing customer service, just take your money & no back up, & you have to "chase up", then this is the business for you. Can provide text message trail to confirm that this review is legitimate.
If you have had a good experience from this business, then consider yourself lucky.

***Update 25/7/24** still no money transferred to my account as Eddie said he would do.***
***Update 10/8/24***texted Eddie 28//24 that have not received refund. He replied 28/7/24 that "sorry must have bounced previously had put wrong account number in. Back mid next week will sort that light out for you". I replied 29/7/24 refund monies received & I will wait to hear from him.
2/8/24 received txt "can we replace the light next Friday around 3.
I missed the txt & replied 4/8/24 that I will make sure someone is home.
Eddie turned up approx 2.13pm Friday 9/8/24. Told my wife they have sent the wrong part. He will order the part & it will be here Tuesday, but he will make sure it is here Monday & will replace Monday. Also said to the wife that "he has seen my/our bad review".
