Good experience from quote to completion. They wrapped fragile items properly and even helped position furniture in the new place. Not the cheapest but worth it for the peace of mind.

Absolutely unacceptable and distressing experience – avoid at all costs
My experience with Simpsons International Removals was deeply upsetting and wholly unprofessional. Despite having paid a substantial deposit, I was subjected to cold, aggressive, and threatening emails that placed extreme pressure on me as a vulnerable senior woman. There was no empathy, no understanding, and no attempt at humane customer service—only intimidation.
Their communication style was shockingly harsh and legalistic, designed to frighten rather than assist. This caused enormous and completely unnecessary stress. At no point did they demonstrate any care for the wellbeing of their customer.
They were consistently unable to provide a clear or reliable expected arrival date for my goods. Weeks went by with vague, non-committal updates and no precision whatsoever. Communication delays were routine, and any information provided was minimal and unhelpful.
To make matters worse, I was suddenly presented with a substantial invoice to “release” my own goods, a cost that had never been disclosed upfront. This felt like nothing short of blackmail—pay up or remain separated from your own belongings. Being forced into this position after I had already settled the entirety of an enormous bill is indefensible.
When delivery was finally approaching, they asked me to specify days I was not available to receive my shipment. Astonishingly, they then booked delivery on one of those exact days, offering no alternative and threatening additional charges if I delayed. At the time, I was out of state and had no choice but to ask a neighbor to step in—an entirely avoidable situation created solely by their rigidity and disregard.
This company operates with aggression instead of service, pressure instead of professionalism, and threats instead of support. The experience was unreasonable, incredibly stressful, and frankly demeaning. I would strongly caution anyone—especially seniors or anyone in a vulnerable position—to think very carefully before entrusting their belongings to Simpsons International Removals.

Looking into the points you have raised, with regards to an arrival date for the goods, you were sent tracking details for the vessel shortly after the vessel departed which would have provided you with an indication on the date the vessel was due to arrive to your destination port. As you can appreciate, the dates provided are estimated as we have no control over any delays that would have occurred whilst the vessel was on the sea. I am also happy to confirm that your goods arrived to the destination port within the advised transit times. Once arrived, our agents overseas would have contacted you and advised you of their possible delivery dates.
In relation to your mention of the invoice, as you know, as stated on all of our documents and also as explained to yourself prior to booking in, full payment is required 7 working days prior to the removal date. Given your personal circumstances, we in fact agreed payment terms with you and allowed you to make payment on the day of the collection as a gesture of goodwill, and still had the crew arrive to your provided collection address to carry out the removal for you.
We do ask that you are present for the delivery of your goods, as the agents will only be able to provide a few dates for delivery and unfortunately, cannot hold the goods after they have arrived free of charge. I am sorry that you remain unhappy with the service however, we do believe that we were very supportive regarding the payment terms and totally transparent regarding the transit time provided.

Our engagement with Simpsons so far has been all round a really good service!
The proposed pricing has been in line with what we have spent, and the service has been exceptional. Communication is key and the office team (I have worked with the two Hayleys) have the communication down and clear! Its transparent, fast and they have supported us a lot! It really has gone a long way towards making a challenging experience of moving countries that little bit easier to do!
The guidance and support have stood out for me. I had one gentleman attend to pack up the 21 boxes we had for collection and he was fast, efficient, extremely courteous in the house and our items are off on their way.
Thanks to all the team for your help so far (and an extra big shout out to the two Hayleys!)
