How people have rated this company over 2 stars is unbelievable. Damaged £3,000 wardrobes in transit and magically have CCTV to prove it wasn't them. The cracked & shattered glass must had just randomly appeard..! The best thing is staff admitted the damage was their fault & then denied it to the manager "Criag" who only replies to emails when he feels like it & talks pedantic towards customers. This company is absolutely appalling - Another great factor of SimplyPro - How staff refuse to unload the last van until full payment was made, making us out to be bad people after damaging our furniture. Avoid this company at all costs. Pay the extra for a company that actually cares about their work. Read ALL the comments & take notice of the 1 star reviews, especially how they all say the same thing!

We’re sorry to read your review, though we must clarify that your comments do not reflect the full picture. We have been in direct contact with you regarding this matter and have provided CCTV evidence showing that the wardrobe glass was already damaged before loading took place. Our team members also submitted signed condition reports at the start of the job confirming this.

At SimplyPro, we take every claim seriously and always investigate thoroughly — which is exactly what we did here. We understand that moving days can be stressful, but we have to rely on verified evidence to ensure fairness to both our customers and our staff.

As for payment, all moves are completed under clearly stated terms and conditions which include full payment on delivery — a standard procedure across the removals industry.

We’re proud of our long-standing reputation for professionalism, and while we regret that you feel disappointed, we believe we handled this situation fairly and transparently.

We booked SimplyPro after exchanging with a completion date less than two weeks out (after 18 months of conveyancing!) We booked the packing and removal and the company was substantially cheaper than some of the higher quotes we received (over 50% cheaper than one). On the packing day, the day before the move, the two packers were very late (2-3 hours) arriving and we, not knowing what to expect, were getting worried, but they immediately put us at ease and were packed and done within 4 hours - we were moving from a 4 bed to a 4 bed. I should point out that we received multiple calls from the office to update us on their progress during the delay. The following day they arrived early with two vans, a third arrived after about an hour, and they did a second trip with one of the vans (probably needed 4 vans initially but I think they underestimate based on video quotations) which wasn’t actually a problem for us as we had hired a van anyway for a large item that they were never supposed to be moving. In total we had 5 people moving us. They arrived at 8am and left at 7pm ish and in that time they worked themselves to the bones! They dismantled and reassembled all of our beds at the other end on the same day. I feel that if I was to give a completely honest review, the quotation/allocation of vans probably needs refinement, as mentioned in a couple of other reviews but the service received is brilliant! The guys are lovely, (Lacey should get a shoutout here) and incredibly personable, they took the time to ask questions about where we’d prefer things to be put and packed and also prompted us to think about things we might not want packed! They put us at ease in a situation that for us was quite sudden and a little overwhelming. I would absolutely recommend them but have downgraded a star purely for the panic during the lateness on the first day. Overall, a seamless experience for us.

‘You get what you pay for’ were the boss’ words when I rang to complain that my house had been badly packed up, and he’s right. The lads on the job were very nice, very very helpful and the move on the day was done in good humour. When it came to unpacking, it was a nightmare. The service is supposed to make life easier and yet the boxes weren’t really labelled, random items packed together (think of your eggs being packed with kids clothes, or a toilet brush in with their bedding). The owner says that the guys on the job blame us for keeping our house in such a state (I literally label my shelves and have my kids toys stored in labelled boxes) and said I don’t understand the legalities. If it’s how they choose to run their business, that’s for them, but I would caution anyone to heed his actual words. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! He also told me someone had been sacked because of me so that’s a nice bit of terrible conscience (the guys he’s sacked didn’t even do the packing…he insulted the boss). Eeek. Stars given for how genuinely helpful they were on the move itself. Having spoken to the boss I can quite see that he’s as aggressive and difficult to work for as the sacked worked complained about.

We strongly dispute the accuracy of this review. The packing service was completed in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions, and our records — including vehicle CCTV and detailed job logs — do not support the claims made here.

It is worth noting that the move involved coordination with a third-party booking platform, and the timing and packing arrangements on the day were impacted by circumstances beyond our team’s control. Despite this, our staff worked late into the day to ensure the move was completed, with care taken throughout.

We have over 400 genuine positive reviews, and we pride ourselves on the quality of our service. Unfortunately, on rare occasions, false or misleading statements are made publicly, which can be damaging to a business and its team.

Disappointed with the service — items arrived damaged and poorly packed. The team showed up late and seemed disorganized throughout the move. Communication was frustrating and unhelpful when issues arose. Would not recommend based on this stressful experience.

Absolutely shocking company Absolutely shocking company. We booked this company in June to help us move house locally in Bristol. We booked two vans to assist our move. They were due to arrive at 9am on the day of our move. They called me at 8:55, claiming that both their vans had suddenly broken down and there was nothing they could do. They didn’t seem to care about the fact that they had left us completely stuck. They were not supportive in trying to find us another company and didn’t send us any apology after this had happened: we have since put in a complain but have been ignored. Don’t risk using this unreliable company. I don’t normally leave reviews but I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

The lads who came were nice. However, they damaged furniture, left furniture at our old house, damaged paint in the new house, and were consistently late throughout the day (e.g. late to arrive at the old house, late to arrive to the new house, and late back from the second trip). I tried emailing, but they downplayed the concerns, asked for evidence of the damage, then stopped replying once this was sent. The only saving grace was that they were all friendly when booking and on the day. However, they were not the cheapest and we did not receive the service we paid for. Then when trying to sort this with them privately they stopped responding - hence this negative review. It has been almost a month and still no resolution. So therefore, I would strongly not reccomend. **Edit due to thier reply** The company absolutely did damage furniture etc, we have proof of this. We have tried to contact many times and have essentially been ghosted despite what they say regarding trying to come to a resolution with customers with complaints. Absolutely would not reccomend if you value your time, money, and furniture.

The price was good, however on the day they were several hours late. I was sent stationery boxes to put goods into. They dropped one guy off and then another turned up 2 1/2 later. After a few phone calls to the owner who lives in Spain (was told by one of the removal guys) the owner threatened to cancel my move if I called again. Luckily the last guy turned up. The removal guys are great they really earned the fee. But the owner he needs a lesson in dealing with customers. If you are late let the customer know, don’t lie and threaten to cancel the move. Gave 2 stars as the lads who did the job were very good, and even told me to use a different person due to the lack of organisation. Edit update July 2025. After 5 years, they finally respond to this review. I stand by my comments and the review. The fact it has taken you 5 years to reply clearly shows your lack of responsiveness and customer service. You did threaten to cancel my move on the day if I were to call back.

Yes, there was a delay due to unforeseen scheduling issues earlier that morning — which can occasionally happen in our line of work — but we kept the job scheduled and ensured it was fully completed on the same day. At no point was your move actually “threatened to be cancelled.” We simply asked for a bit of space to let the team do their job without constant calls causing further disruption.

We always do our best to communicate clearly and run a smooth operation. In this case, while the move was completed successfully and the team worked hard to meet your expectations, it’s disappointing to see that the effort wasn’t fully recognised due to a one-off delay.

Only reason these guys get 3 stars is because the 3 guys doing the job were immense (each one was a star themselves). Worked their backsides off to make sure our move went as smoothly as possible. I would give 5 stars, however there was a massive cock up with the booking as we had booked 3 vans, where only 1 was provided. Shame really, as had all 3 vans arrived it would have been 5 stars. I'd recommend the 3 removal men for sure, but would I recommend the company based on this? Probably not. I doubt I'll see any form of money back for the 2 missing vans and undue stress. We only booked a removal company because of recent heart related health issues. Hopefully these guys get the tools and communication they deserve to make this business more professional. It looked like 3 blokes in a rusty smashed up van, so glad they turned out to be friendly and genuine people. Please give them a decent van, enough vehicles to do the job and better lifting equipment!
