Great service! System works great! First time getting solar and Rick took his time to explain various components to make sure that the hardware met our requirements and that we were not getting things that we didnt require! He saved us a bunch of money on hardware that other dealers were trying to sell to us. Rick went above and beyond to check the camper breaks, bearing etc and made an incredible custom frame for solar at a very reasonable cost! Thank you Rick!

Rick was super! Such a breath of fresh air from dealing with other people in this industry His assessment and planning was exceptional. Gave us multiple options and price points. His workmanship was of very high quailty. My original upgrade of a Victron 2000 Multiplus invertor/chargeer was not wire sized properly in Nov 2022 when in the States. Rick understood my problem and we had a plan put together in no time. His knowledge, hourly rate/efficiency and material costs are the best I have seen. You will be making a big mistake by not making Silver Lining Solar your first stop when it comes to this type of service. Well worth the drive to beautiful Summerland BC. Rick did an excellent job of installing solar panels, a charge controller, a lithium battery and an inverter in our travel trailer. The finished product works flawlessly — it almost seems like magic after suffering through years of lead-acid batteries. He explained the process and products thoroughly before we started and even provided helpful, easy-to-read articles on each element of the system. I highly recommend visiting Silver Lining Solar if you're ready to make the switch to solar and/or lithium or even if you just have questions.

New to RV’ing and purchased a 1994 unit that had been updated to include solar. I decided to upgrade the system as we planned to do lots of off grid camping. I soon learned I would need an expert for advice. Very glad I found Silver Lining Solar. Rick took a look and provided a plan that would provide a solid foundation that I can build on for future upgrades. He also took the time to cleanup some shoddy wiring and simplified the layout. I learned much about solar systems through the process but the most important lesson is to rely on an expert like Rick which avoided me from making costly errors on the upgrade to the system. Rick clearly enjoys enlightening his customers on solar power and takes great pride in his work. Highly recommend Silver Lining Solar and looking forward to adding a couple of more components later this year that will provide even more capability to our off grid travels.

We have been searching for months to upgrade our Cougar Fifth Wheel solar package that would allow us to boondock. It was difficult to find someone with enough practical knowledge, experience and skills to be able to help until we had a referral to Rick Lambert. (Silver Lining Solar). We left the RV with Rick and soon we had a fully functional system doing exactly what we requested. It's hard to express how pleased I am with the new solar system Rick installed on my motor home. Rick is beyond knowledgeable on the process required to make your motor home powered by solar in the most efficient and safe way. Called all around the Okanagan looking for info on solar system to install in my RV trailer. Rick was the only person the we talked too that had extensive knowledge on what type of solar system we needed to be able to camp off grid. My wife & i took the trailer to Ricks place in Summerland and he professionally installed the solar system into the RV in one afternoon. Very happy with his work & appreciated his expertise on what solar system that we needed for our trailer.

Subject: Fwd: Your recent experience with Silver Lining Solar  My experience with silver lining solar began by way of a West Kelowna supplier of solar products recommending Rick Lambert, owner/operator of SilverLiningSolar. As things turned out I could not be any happier with that recommendation. On my contacting Rick I explained that I was interested in a solar power system as my wife and I on a number of occasions while boondocking had run out of battery power and that the use of generator power was often times restrictive and inconvenient. Rick attended our coach and reviewed the electrical system and impressed me with his understanding and keen interest in both the system we had and what the addition of a solar system would add. The only disturbing matter was his pointing out that we really didn’t need solar power given the system we had. Hmmm, this guy seemed to be talking me out of his installing a solar system. It didn’t take me long to realize that his advice reflected his opinion, experience and honesty. My wife and I discussed our needs and expectations vs. the ballpark cost Rick suggested and decided for our peace of mind , convenience and assurance of ongoing battery power we would ask Rick to install the system. In the installation Rick’s thoughtful location and routing of the units and wiring again reflect his knowledge and experience. Although because of Covid, heat and storms our use of the coach has been limited we remain happy with our choice of SilverLiningSolar and Rick Lambert. One footnote that supports our choices is that Rick pointed out that if convenient I might choose, over the winter, to leave the batteries connected in the coach with the solar system turned on. On January 17/22, just prior to writing this review, I attended the coach only to find the house and engine batteries fully charged. Given the temperature has been down to as much as -30 C and the solar panels mostly covered in snow for the past month I was pleasantly surprised. Rick is very knowledgeable & go out of his way if he doesn't have the answer! My Victron Inverter was not working properly and he dug deep to figure out that it was an issue with the inverter itself! Victron components and Battleborn battery knowledgeable people are not easy to come by in Canada! Great experience!
