We lost our mum in February 2026 to MND and from the beginning everyone recommended that we use Sillets, they were absolutely incredible from the start and they treated us and our mum with so much respect and care. Nothing was too big an ask for the funeral service, they allowed us to do two slideshows, lots of extras that we wanted to add in and always had time for us when we called with endless questions! From our first phone call to collecting ashes the service by this wonderful family firm has been excellent. The family and their offices which feel almost like a home sitting room convey a calm aura. They carefully guide you through the process providing helpful literature to help at such a difficult time. There is no rush for any decision making and the funeral day ran seamlessly. The family and transport are immaculately turned out and our family cannot praise them enough for the respect and care they displayed to my late husband Michael.

My Mum passed away recently, and from the first phone call to Silletts Funeral Service, I can honestly echo all the positive comments from the reviews and from recommendations too. From start to finish their attention, support and compassion were second to none. This is exactly what you need at the most difficult time. Everyone I spoke to or dealt with showed the utmost support, especially Adam, who handled the arrangements, kept in touch and listened to my needs which helped to carry out the service seamlessly.

We could not be happier with the support and care we received with the funeral arrangements. The Sillets family are quite possibly the most compassionate and supportive funeral directors you could ask for during such a difficult time.
They took the time to sit with us, talk through our wishes, and accommodate our personal requests with patience and kindness. They guided us through both the difficult conversations and the technical aspects, even helping to prepare presentations and combine music for the service, which meant so much to our family.
They checked in on us throughout and even took time to speak with us afterwards. Their time is precious, but they never made us feel rushed or like we were simply a customer — it genuinely felt like they cared. Beautiful chapel of rest, took care of our passed loved one and we felt content he with the Sillet family, and he would be cared for while at peace.
If you want a personal, compassionate service, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Avoid the big chains and choose a small, family-run business like Sillets — you will not fault the service.

Paul & Jo and the rest of the Silletts team made this very sad passing of my dad Brian a lot easier for our family. They handled everything for us so compassionately and professionally. They were always there for us to talk to them when we needed them and Paul went over and above to help us through this very sad journey we found ourselves on. I honestly don’t think I could have got through my dad’s funeral without Sillets Funeral Company. I’m only 20 years old and had never experienced anything like this in my life, so when my dad passed away I was completely lost and didn’t know what I was supposed to do or where to even begin.
From the moment I walked in, they treated me with real compassion and patience. They never once pressured me into spending more money or choosing things I didn’t need, especially when I was in such a vulnerable position with no experience and no idea how funerals worked. They took the time to explain everything slowly and clearly, making sure I understood every step.
They handled so much for me that I didn’t even realise needed doing, and even arranged the invoice directly through my dad’s bank which took a huge amount of stress off me at a time when I could barely think straight.
They didn’t just organise a funeral — they helped carry me through one of the hardest moments of my life. They turned such a painful and overwhelming time into something respectful, smooth, and manageable, and gave my dad the send-off he truly deserved.
