ATTENTION VOL ! ATTENTION ! Après un séjour dans cet établissement, nous avons eu la très mauvaise surprise de nous voir réclamer 6 % de frais supplémentaires pour un paiement par carte bancaire, sans justification acceptable. Quelques jours après notre départ, nous avons constaté la disparition d'une enceinte JBL et d'écouteurs JBL de notre chambre. Lorsque nous avons contacté l'hôtel, aucune aide, aucune enquête et aucune considération pour notre situation. La seule réponse obtenue a été que nous aurions dû vérifier nos affaires avant de partir. Entre des pratiques tarifaires contestables et une gestion totalement déplorable d'une réclamation concernant des biens disparus, cet établissement inspire très peu confiance. Voyageurs, soyez particulièrement vigilants avec vos effets personnels et vérifiez attentivement votre facture avant de payer. Je ne recommande certainement pas ! ( photo a l'appuie de l'enceinte avant sont vol..)

Dear Guest,Just to straight out few things:- We do charge 5% of bank charges like most of the Hotels in Zanzibar and information about it, was received by you upon making booking- You have reported missing things to the Manager, 5 DAYS AFTER CHECK OUT !!! How can we even try to find Your belongings after 5 days ? You could already do to other hotel and lost your things there, or leave at the airport or in any taxi.As You can see Your review is the only bad review about our budget Guest House in Stone Town, so we even do not consider it at all, and we ask all other future Guests to read other real reviews :)

Pleasant to some extent ☺ The female receptionist was nice (the morning shift), very helpful and the rooms were very clean. ☹ During my visit, I was extremely unwell and traveling with a minor. I had ask slight assistance due to the stairs, the receptionist (evening receptionist, male) gave me more excuses than solutions. Perhaps it's lack of training. I had asked if it was possible to get urgent transport to the hospital, the male receptionist was not helpful at all. I could barely walk. Bare in mind I am also expecting, so my condition could have easily gotten worse. Thank God I have contacts on the island that assisted. Would I stay here again? Doubt it. I hope they work on this, next time someone else might be in a worser state than I was.

Excepcional ☺ Ovo je mjesto na kojem cu svakako ponovno odsjesti tijekom boravka u Stonetownu. Vrlo je čisto, kreveti su udobni, lokacija u samom centru grada, osoblje profesionalno i pristupačno. Za tu cijenu zaista fenomenalan izbor!!! Velika preporuka 👍👍

Bon rapport qualité prix ☺ Très bonne localisation pour visiter la ville à pied, chambre propre ☹ Attention si valise car escaliers très pentus et étroits. Déjeuner de petites quantités. Veiller à bien fermer la porte de la chambre à clé, même en étant à l’intérieur car un membre du staff est rentré à 00h30 pendant qu’on dormait, pour mettre de l’anti moustique en pensant que nous n’étions pas là.

All place stung of savage.Bed bugs ,The cleaner uses the same mop to clean down everything from bathroom tiles to toilet seat , around the toilet floor and then continues to wipe down the shower never even bothered to clean the mop!No wonder of the smell 🤮We booked room with a private bathroom and toilet in the guest house to learn we actually booked in hostel with the shared bathroom and toilet in hostel due to misleading information by bookings.com and the management from this property!We checked out within few minutes of checking in after being promised by manager we will be fully refunded but 4 months down line we still haven’t received no refund!After requesting refund all over again and again the hotel marked us as no show despite we have an evidence being it the room taking photos of the room and shared dirty facilities!Scammers both bookings .com and the hostel

Lovely Central Guesthouse ☺ Very good location, good aircon. Breakfast was very nice. Very clean. ☹ We didn't care at all but there was very steep stairs to the room, would be harder for any older people.

Unfortunately, we had a very bad impression of this accommodation. Right after arriving, we were surprised to see a man lying on a mattress in front of the reception, which did not feel very welcoming or professional. Both the room and the shared areas were in poor condition. The shared bathroom had ingrained dirt, there was dried urine on the toilet, and the shower door could not be properly closed, causing water to leak out onto our dry shoes. The hallway between the room and the bathroom was also dirty. The room itself was not in good condition either — the door could not be locked safely, the bed was extremely hard, and the air conditioning did not work. There were dead flies inside the mosquito net above the bed, so we did not even want to touch it. Breakfast was supposed to be included in our stay, but in the morning it was never offered to us. When we informed the manager about the condition of the shared bathroom, we were told that after the housekeeper leaves, they cannot control how guests leave it. However, the accommodation did not seem occupied at all during our stay, and we may have even been almost alone there. Because of this, the manager’s response disappointed us even more than the actual condition of the room. The only positive thing we can mention is the kind and helpful staff member who helped us carry our luggage upstairs.

Nicht Happy ☺ Gute Stadt Lage ZIMMER sauber Frühstück ist im Haupthaus etwas entfernt vom Gesthouse aber gut ☹ Obwohl alle Zimmer frei waren (auch Zimmer mit Bad) und alle Zimmer zum gleichen Preis angeboten wurden aufgrund von Low Seson haben wir das kleinste Zimmer ohne Bad bekommen. Hier sind die Sansibaris nicht verhandlungsfähig und stur. Sie sind generell noch weit weg vom Gedanken Kundenzufriedenheit da sie in ihrer Tourismus Entwicklung noch weit weg vom internationalen Standart sind.

Thank you for stayig with us and we are glad that You liked the breakfast. However we would like to straight up few information which You wrote here as they can mislead our future Guests !
1. The information about breakfast being served in our main property is in Your welcome message while You book the room, it is clearly written there !
2. The information about shared bathroom in your room are also in your booking details ! Please note You have booked a Standard Twin Room and You have PAID 15$ per night ! So besides being well notified about shared bathroom in your booking details, We can't imagine how could you expect a private bathroom for the price of 15$ INCLUDING Breakfasts.....
3. The pictures of the stairs are attached to every room picture ! Also your room was just on the first floor and there were no ANY STEEP steps going there so we do not have any idea what are talking about... The steep stairs go to second room to rooms with private bathrooms where You did not stay.

Vale for money due to location mainly ☺ The location is great ! Right in the center of stone town! You can leave your luggage to store if you arrive/leave early/late. Overall, it’s cheap so important to keep in mind that of course is not great but it’s good definitely value for money. ☹ We booked the double room with private bathroom : it was very small - we almost had to jump on top of each other to pass. No toiletries at all and very small towels provided- only 1 per person. Breakfast only had 3 options but was ok.

We had a lovely stay in the heart of Stone Town, walking distance to Darajani, Forodhani & the beach ☺ Breakfast was lovely, good choice and served quickly.
