Sherpa Moving and Storage Reviews

Revising my original review to be more concise. Sherpa helped my wife and I move on June 9, 2024. The first half of the experience was genuinely great. Sherpa was able to help on short notice, the crew was friendly, and they did a great job overall of packing up the old house. The second half of the experience was an absolute mess. All of the care that was shown at the old house was replaced by speed and recklessness at the new house. There was no teamwork to handle extremely heavy pieces of furniture and I found myself personally jumping in on several occasions to prevent further damage to the house. Weeks after the move, I'm still finding dirt smudges, scratches, and scuffs on my furniture, hardwood floors, and walls (and somehow the ceiling...). It's really disappointing. Despite the strong start, I cannot recommend Sherpa. I wish I would have moved myself with friends and family.

Overall one of the best moving experiences I have had. A few small things fells through initially (forgotten boxes, packing paper etc) but the manager made sure to personally drive them all out. Their guys were on the slower side compared to past moves but they took such great care of all of our stuff. Absolutely nothing broken! On top of that, they more than made up for taking more time than expected with a very generous discount. I would absolutely use Sherpa again if given the opportunity. No moving experience will be perfect but I don't think you can find a better crew that takes such pride in providing a good experience. **EDIT: I would like to add a small update. After a small mistake and some miscommunication, Anthony the manager came through in a way that shows how great of manager he is. Although overworked and spread extremely thin, he has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced with basically any company. Additionally he was by far the most efficient mover of the group. The man is an absolute gem and should remain the face of the company.

I don’t recommend this moving company to anyone! We had the worst experience with them; They send us two guys ( one of them was mostly checking his phone listening to the loud music and checking text laughing. The other one went to the bathroom and sitting there for about 45 minutes) They tried to increase the hours and charge more( and they did). They broke our master bedroom king set (the mirror base and the bed) ; They made a big scratch on the base of our beautiful china cabinet that I always did a good take care of that,…. They went to the truck to bring stuff and they waited there for long time to come back. They came at 9:00 and left at 4:00 [ they are not fast and delay a lot , especially in their truck) THE MOST IMPORTANT PART WAS THAT, THEY SCHEDULED US FOR FRIDAY AT 8:00Am BUT THEY DIDNT SHOW UP AND NOT ANSWERING THEIR PHONE FOR TWO DAYS ( WE PACKED UP AND READY), We couldn’t find any company for the short notice, finally they called us two days after and scheduled us for Monday!!!

Great people. Did a great job unloading our two trucks. Would 100% recommend!

The 2 young men that arrived to move me were polite friendly capable took care of my belongings - only issue is my estimate was less than what I actually paid - $200 more than the estimate. They should give estimates - it’s going to be this on the low end and this on the high end so you know what the most you’ll be paying - otherwise excellent

Andrew, CJ & Rico were amazing. They made an overwhelming day easy and eliminated all stress. So courteous and kind, professional and fast! They all receive my highest praise.

Andrew and Calvin were great! They were excellent communicators and treated all of our items with care. Would happily use Sherpa again.

Used Sherpa moving and Tony and his crew were wonderful. They were careful with everything and they made sure I was happy where furniture and boxes were placed would use again.

Choosing a moving company was a researched choice. After checking multiple company reviews, we went with Sherpa moving. I like the fact that they were owned by a veteran and also insured. Our team of movers consisted of Frank, DeMarcus, and KJ. They took a lot of time, wrapping our furniture in blankets and saran wrap to make sure our items were well protected. They took extra time and caution when moving things out of the old house and into the new. because of their caution and Care, we did go over the estimated time and our costs at the end of the day were higher than expected , but, it was all well worth the money. Those guys worked hard! They only took a short break for lunch and a short break in the afternoon. Other than that, they were in constant motion. Frank was a master at organizing the moving truck in order to , get our items to fit. Not only did they work hard, but they were well mannered and polite, and really a pleasure to have in both of our homes. We do have a ding in our front door casing, but I guarantee if we had tried to move ourselves there would’ve been much more damage. when making a move you are bleeding money for known and unknown expenses. On the day of the move, we had to have a plumber, fix areas behind our refrigerator and washer. Sherpa moving was definitely an expense that was well worth paying. And even though we are bleeding money, we were very happy to tip our team because of the great job they did.

They did an excellent job. Hard workers got it done in less time than estimated and in the pouring rain. I would highly recommend.

It is nerve-wracking to move. I evaluated the local moving companies as well as I could. Anthony answered all my questions. There were 2 estimates, one for each day of moving. Each estimate turned out low, but I already knew they bill only for the time worked plus mileage (common with movers) and Anthony did not actually see all the stuff I had. On the first day, Andrew, Calvin and a third gentleman showed up (I unfortunately didn't get the 3rd gentleman's name). They all worked very hard and were very respectful about where I wanted items placed etc. The second day needed far less packing, Andrew and Calvin came for the storage units. Loading all morning with no interruptions. Unloaded very intelligently into my garage with a couple items going into the house. Again, very respectful and worked unceasingly until the job was done. EXCELLENT!

Sherpa did a great job moving us across town. They were professional and took good care of our things. Frank and Trevon were especially helpful.

Professional, efficient, incredibly friendly.

The guys were great. Prepared, wrapped everything, took great care of my stuff. Methodically got everything in and out of the truck, and were super pleasant to interact with on top of that. Definitely recommend.

Anthony was great! He helped us work through our move with patience and a wealth of knowledge that gave us a sense of calm you don’t normally have during the moving process. We really appreciate the service and professionalism! Thank you Anthony!
