Awful ‘service’, installation and quality. Where do I start… - Shaws recommended not to have trickle vents for insulation reason, despite these being a regulatory requirement. We agreed no trickle vents, but Shaws fitted them anyway - Installation was planned around pets but then the plan failed as Shaws arrived on the first day without the required windows and equipment - On fitting, the gaskets were faulty. It took multiple visits and months for Shaws to resolve the issue - Beading that was damaged during the multiple visits has not been replaced - Since installation the handles and hinges have required adjustments and now a hinge needs replacing - Vouchers promised as an apology for the issue with the trickle vents have never been sent - The big issue. An exact replacement was requested but Shaws have fitted a patio door with a very deep window sill that was not there before and which makes getting in and out of the door difficult. It looks awful as it sits on top of a stone ledge and it possibly doesn’t meet the uniformity rules of the property lease. Shaws have been unable to explain why it is there and are refusing to fix the issue, other than cutting it off which would invalidate the warranty I have refused to pay the last payment until they resolve the issues. However, Shaws are now adding interest and threatening legal action. Avoid like the plague. There needs to be a zero star option.

Shaws Brighton were great with our new 10th floor windows. Dan, Robin, Ben, Jo and Harrison were nonstop on-the-case with the install. Robin was especially helpful (and Ben), with thinking through leak and damp prevention in the adjoining building frameworks. Robin took the time to talk us through their prevention improvements, which will be helpful to others in our building with similar issues above the bay window. Robin, Dan and the team went the extra mile to get the whole installation tight against the big winter weather we all “know and love” here on Brighton seafront. We’re keen on the detail - and the finish was top notch.

We were recommended to use Shaws by a local builder, and I also recognised the company from living here all my life. We got a number of quotes but settled on Shaws after being impressed at the showroom with Gary and the product (aluminium triple track sliding doors and a back door for our new kitchen extension). Stuart, Chris and the team were polite, efficient, remarkably quick and tidy . They did a great fantastic job and the doors look amazing. They also helped subsequently with some minor adjustments. Big thanks to Max too for ensuring installation worked with build timescale.

Shaws came to fit a new set of windows and door on our balcony. The fitters Sam and Paul arrived on time in the morning and carried out the work flawlessly. They ensured that there was no mess when they left and explained how the windows and doors worked. The windows and door look great.We will definitely use Shaws again in the future.

Had all of our top windows replaced by Shaws of Brighton and John in the head office was fantastic to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. He explained everything thoroughly and made the whole process very easy. Stuart and Chris arrived promptly and did a fantastic job replacing our old windows with new ones. They even hoovered the house after they finished after putting dust sheets down everywhere. We have been very happy with this company and would definitely use them again!

Issued a new quote for the additional window which was completely overpriced - more interested in making us go away than leaving us as happy customers with a complete job. Andy explained his procedures perfectly clearly. I really prize first class communication and Andy was outstanding.
