Ghnc My experience with this product/service has been exceptionally positive, and I am genuinely pleased with the level of quality and professionalism it offers. From the very beginning, it was evident that a great deal of effort and thoughtful planning went into its development. Everything about it reflects a deep understanding of what users want and need, making the overall experience smooth, reliable, and deeply satisfying. One of the aspects that impressed me the most is the outstanding design and structure. Every feature feels purposeful and meaningful. There is no clutter, no confusion—just a clean, intuitive, and user-friendly system that makes interaction effortless. It is clear that the creators prioritized clarity and convenience, ensuring that customers feel comfortable from the moment they begin using it.

Select Home Warranty is a Scam. Consumers beware. Select Home Warranty is a scam!!! am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with Select Home Warranty. I purchased a home warranty policy on January 27, 2025, and was explicitly told that the policy would become active thirty days after the first initial payment. My claim for my HVAC unit was submitted on March 23, 2025, well beyond this stated activation period, with the expectation of coverage for unexpected home repairs. Unfortunately, my claim was denied. The reason given by Select Home Warranty for the denial was that my policy was not active. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious questions about their business practices. Despite being informed of a 30-day waiting period following my initial payment on January 27th, and submitting my claim nearly two months later, they still claim my policy was inactive. Furthermore, my contract clearly states a service charge of $125.00, yet I was billed $156.00. The customer service representatives I spoke with could not provide any explanation for this discrepancy and simply read from a script. Despite my attempts to check their website for confirmation of my policy's active date or any information to resolve this issue, the contract was frustratingly vague, and the website itself is utterly unusable and serves no practical purpose. I am now facing a significant HVAC repair cost that I believed my home warranty would cover, especially after adhering to their stated waiting period. The fact that Select Home Warranty claims my policy was inactive without any prior notification or clear explanation, particularly after the designated activation timeframe, is deeply concerning. This experience has left me feeling utterly misled and without the protection I paid for. A home warranty is meant to provide peace of mind, but Select Home Warranty has delivered the opposite. Their failure to honor their stated activation terms, coupled with their inability to explain billing errors and their unhelpful customer service, demonstrates a profound lack of reliability and poor business practices. I strongly advise potential customers to exercise extreme caution when considering Select Home Warranty. Based on my experience, their policies are not as dependable as they claim, and you could find yourself in a similar situation where a legitimate claim is denied despite fulfilling their activation requirements. I will be filing complaints with consumer protection agencies and seeking legal advice to address this matter. In summary, my experience with Select Home Warranty has been overwhelmingly negative. Their unjustified refusal to honor my claim, even after the stated activation period, combined with their lack of communication and billing discrepancies, makes them an unreliable and untrustworthy choice for home warranty coverage. Also, take notice that if trying to provide a review on. their website it will send you to a fraudulent website.

I recently had started a home warranty policy. Paid for a whole year and got 2 months free. Before proceeding, I had to receive a phone call from them to verify my address and that I am the one starting the warranty. I was fine. The person that called, asked if there was anyone over 50? I said I was and he asked " do you have aaa? what about navy ********************? I told him I was a disable veteran. He than asked me to get a 6 year term for so much money. I refused, he then proceeded to ask about a 3 year policy. I told him I didn't want to spend that much right off the bat. His response was " well thanks for nothing!!!" and then hung up on me. ***. There was not a single manager to be spoke to after this. Another person said they will escalate this and I will get a call back. Nope nothing. I finally did get my refund. I told them to cancel my policy and refund every ***** back to me! So if they can't get you to spend more, then your wasting their time. In turn, find another place.

I bought a 3 year plan over a year ago and recently claimed on my hot water heater. After paying my $65 service call I was told it was too old for them work on and they offered me $200 to replace it (techincally $135 after the $65 fee). I spoke to 5+ people trying to understand why would anyone would want their warranty if they won't fix appliances that break that aren't new. I paid $2300 for a new water heater and I'm furious and not feeling covered if something else breaks.

This warranty company is a scam!. I paid warranty premiums on two different properties for a year. I filed a claim for a garbage disposal repair and a roof leakage issue. Both claims were denied. On top of that, they penalized me for canceling the warranty.

This company is a rip off, I had my heating unit checked by a person they use and he only accepts cash app for payment, no zelle or credit card payment. That was the first issue I had. He came out checked my heating unit and it took three days for Select to get the diagnostic. They never call you have to continue to check your email for a response from them. Then they only want to pay $150.00 towards the repair. My advise to not choose them for your home warranty, you may as well pay out of pocket on your own. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!

False advertising! They promise your heating system is covered on page one, then after ten pages of fine print tell you it's not. They guarantee a response within 24-48 hours but I just spent 13 days, in the dead of winter, after paying their technician $90, waiting to find out that my broken heating system is not covered. I am furious at being ripped off this way. You pay the technician directly through CashApp, so there's no real receipt, no accountability. The guy didn't even return to do a proper diagnosis after his first theory turned out to be wrong, he just waited two weeks and finally told Select we have the type of system they don't cover. My house has been between 45 and 55 degrees for 4 days and most of my plants have died. Do not throw your money away by signing up with this company.

This company is horrible at best. A few months ago, I still had my old home warranty, which I got with the house. The company was good but I knew that I wanted to research my own companies. Well, I called Select Warranty, and I went over some quotes and told Select Warranty that I would get back to them later. The salesperson insisted that I buy Select home, and he gave me two months extra and said that I have 11000 dollars in coverage a year on claims. Also, that salesman said that I would only have to pay 75 dollars for each occurrence. I would not have to pay for materials or labor. And get this: the salesman charged me half the price to buy a Select home warranty, which was 520 instead of 1000 dollars. I bought the policy and waited to have my old policy expire before I started using the Select Warranty policy. Recently, I had a leaky pipe in my kitchen. The plumber came out very fast and charged me 75 dollars and he said that Select Warranty would get back to me the next day. I did not hear from Select Warranty, so I called the plumber, and he informed me that the company made a decision and said that Select Warranty would pay for the materials and that the customer would have to pay the plumber's labor costs to do the job. So, I called Select Warranty customer service, and they said, after telling some of my story above, that in some cases, we can waive the labor. My response was that this was not what I had thought about when I was hoodwinked by the salesperson, and the company manager said that they would pay for half the labor. I had the policy and paid the 75 dollars to the plumber already, and they suggested that since I was given other information when I bought the policy, I wanted my money back and canceled the policy. Select Warranty agreed to give me my money back, not to mention that I did not use their warranty claim, and they would give me back 391 dollars out of the 519 dollars that I paid plus the 75 dollars I paid the plumber for coming out. I had to agree to take the loss and now wait a month for them to send me a check instead of paying for the whole year on my card. Do not do business with Select Warranty and pay by the month instead of the year. You want a warranty company that takes the service charge, not the provider of service, and a company that calls you back instead of the plumber, in my case. Plus, I lost over two hundred dollars to get my money back, which I did not get back as I had promised. This company is about as good as its last positive review. This is a 69-year-old senior getting social security that they are taking their money from without doing anything.

Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. They denied every claim I've made. They will never pay. The vendors that come to the house to take a look are on board with the warranty company. They put in a description that's not accurate so the claim will be turned down. It's all a SCAM!!!!

After a year of dealing with them concerning an AC/heating problem, they deny our claim saying it was an electrical surge that cause our problem. This was the third and final time we are dealing with these deceptive bastards, their phone associates with their broken-** English, are quick to quote how sorry they are and promise to solve the the problem. Hell I haven't received my reimbursement check from my washer claim Over a year ago. Save yourself a headache and choose someone else, like we did and my sister.

You get a home warranty so that if an appliance stops functioning, you should be able to count on your warranty company to fix and if not fixable they replace. They do not tell you that if your unit is old, they will only reimburse the depreciated value which is next to nothing.

This review is for Select Home Warranty. They collect your premium every month but will not pay for a whole service. They will only pay for parts but not for labor. The labor goes with the job so of that is not paid for them why pay for the parts. I am sending this out to let everyone know not to use this company. My issue was for electric and plumbing but they did not cover the important things just a socket cover. If I could give them less than a 1 star I would.

I called Select Home Warranty on Monday December 6, 2024 because the heater in the house was not working. I explained that winter cold front was due here Tuesday night with temperatures dipping below 25 degrees and I needed this done immediately. I called the next day and was told my appointment was scheduled for Wednesday December 8, 2024 between 3 and 7 PM. I explained with the impending cold front that this was an emergency and needed to get done today. They explained their emergency procedures to me. I followed their procedures and had another company go out this same day. I called Select Home Warranty with the contractor on the phone as I was instructed to do. After waiting on hold for 11 minutes the recording stated that I would get a call back and I would not loose my position. I never received the call back. I called Select Home Warranty back at 3:47 pm. After waiting on hold again for several minutes I finally got a person on the line. I explained why I was calling and informed her that I had the contractor on the line with us. She then proceeded to ask the contractor a series of questions which he answered. Finally she stated that I would be contacted the next day with their decision on whether or not they would authorize this contractor to fix the heater. I explained that this was unacceptable and I had followed all of their procedures. She then explained that the department that authorizes these request closed at 5:00 pm Eastern Standard time. The time was now 4:06 Mountain time (5:06 easter standard time). This phone call took 19 minutes. So I call first thing this morning. I ask if this work has been authorized. I was told it was denied because the work had already been performed. This in fact was a lie. I believe they did this hoping I would pay to have this fixed instead of waiting. They were right, I paid to have this fixed. It was 30 degrees here when this phone call took place. So I called the contractor and instructed him to go ahead and fix the heater so my tenants did not have to sit in a freezing house any longer. Select Home Warranty sells you their policy and makes it extremely difficult to get items fixed by them.

Terrible customer experience. I asked for a sample policy or at least written down details on the plan I was purchasing, they not only refused but were oddly rude about me wanting details on what I was buying a year upfront? Seemed extremely fishy. I spoke with two different people hoping it was just a bad rep, but there's definitely some red flags here. Defensive and give me your money without anything in writing is never a good start! That's when they are at their best!

If I could give zero or negative stars that is what I would do. They have one of the highest service call fees of any home warranty I have ever had and the absolute worst customer service. I have called them out 3 times, twice for my dishwasher and once for my dryer. The first time I called about my dishwasher, they wanted me to wait over a week for a technician to come out when their own policy states within 48 hours so I had to fight with them about that. Once we got a tech out (within their 48-hour time frame) they made the repairs and left. Now 5 months later, my dishwasher is doing the same exact thing and they are telling me the part is no longer available and they are not willing to pay the tech to fix it using their parts. My dryer was also malfunctioning and they told me the same thing, that the part has been discontinued. My dryer is 2 years old and the tech that came out said that he was able to find a part to replace it, but they are so cheap that they are only willing to use their discounted parts and if it is not available they will not pay for the service company to use theirs. I have basically paid a large fee to have them do absolutely nothing and to charge me $150 every time they send someone out. Their own policy states that they will repair or replace covered appliances, but they will not. "2. Obligations. In consideration for Your payment to Select, and subject to all of the terms of this Agreement, Select will arrange for an Independent Service Technician to repair or replace the systems and appliances covered under this Agreement, when they become inoperable due to normal wear and tear. Obligations of Select under this Agreement are backed only by the full faith and credit of Select and are not guaranteed under a reimbursement insurance policy." Do not use this company.

I submitted two claims, one for dishwasher and another for a microwave. Claimed appliances are old, that I would have to do ALL the replacement and then refund me. I called and Lucas hung up in my face.

Select Home Warranty is a joke! I had a pipe leaking and they send a technician. The technician said that Select Home Warranty will not cover the labor cost of the replacement of the parts but only will pay for the parts. After a series of call with Select Home Warranty and talking to a so-called Supervisor named ****, they denied my claim because according to them that replacing the old part with the new part is considered an "installation" and therefore they will not cover it. To my argument, Installation is something that you will put in a new and/or different system from what it was as opposed to repair where they will replace and restore my old system to its previous state where the leak is not present. Majority, if not all of the repairs need replacement, and boy Oh boy you are effed! Because as per Select Home Warranty, they will not cover it because it is considered as "Install". So dropped them and run!

I have never been so dissatisfied with any company. It took approximately 2 months to repair our AC and they only partially paid the local service technician. Later we had a dishwasher problem which was an expensive unit and they only wanted to pay 185 dollars. We decided at that time to cancel and paid to have the dishwasher repaired ourselves. After many calls, we only received a partial cancellation refund.

This company is scamming new home buyers, do not buy their policies. We have submitted over four claims to date with this organization and each time they find a way to wiggle out of helping us. To date, they have denied all four claims and we have escalated our concerns each time with no success. The policy they provide (even at the highest level) actually covers very little because of the long list of fine print exclusions. We even had one experience where we submitted a claim, they told us that our current level of coverage doesn't cover it (we were told we previously had the max coverage possible) but informed us that we could purchase an additional rider and then be covered, after we spent the money on the rider, they told us that we weren't actually covered after all because of an exclusion. Avoid at all costs.
