MY HONEST REVIEW
overall I’m not happy I went over all of my inventory the first thing I mentioned during intake was that I had quite a bit a stuff in storage including the four major appliances the person then sent me a quote which I agreed on . On the day of the move they arrived a few mins late no problem . I believe that more hands are better then less hands since my storage room was upstairs I begin bringing things downstairs only to be told that I wouldn’t save money that way and I would only distract them which isn’t true but I let it be . A move that could have easily been done fast they took their time it would make sense for two movers to bring things from storage and two movers stay downstairs to load the truck but boop that all went up together the fourth guy was a lot older and did quite a bit of relaxing I ignored and kept going hoping for the best Although I told them about my appli at the end of the move they hit me with a hidden charge of 55$ per appliance as for my fridge they brought it only to the front door and said it couldn’t fit my little tiny sister and boyfriend ended up moving into the kitchen for experienced movers they should have tried harder . I’d also like to note that we made a second stop I brought everything downstairs with my sister and they were not light items it took us just twenty mins to do the job so I know they were taking their time to make sure they made enough money instead of just doing honest work and receiving a really great tip . They told me they did not charge me tax and that they were doing me a favour not charging two hours instead of one hour for travel time well that’s strange because they knew exactly where I was going. So let’s do the math 225x6=1350 and 55$x4 appliances is $220 totaling 1575 and they said I was not charged tax but refused to leave until they were paid 1751$ they were dishonest about the price and treated me less then because I was a woman they took their time and ripped me off very nice guys but they deceived me and that’s not cool save yourself some time and think twice Before booking with a company who lies takes advantage when they don’t think you know about moving and charges hidden fees when moving is already expensive . They told me that no movers in Ottawa move appliances because all homes come with appliances what the heck ????!!! Wanting cash to avoid taxes and still charging taxes and saying you didn’t ????? They will charge all kinds of hidden fees and that’s not what you want go with an Honest company who doesn’t take advantage of the situation
