If you are looking for a professional, respectful attorney, look elsewhere. My husband and I contacted Mr. James regarding appealing a peace order case. From the very beginning of the phone call, he was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful.
He repeatedly cut me off after just a few words, and showed zero willingness to actually listen to the facts of my case. When I tried to explain what I wanted to accomplish, he laughed at me, told me I would lose, and claimed I "just called to argue with him." He was aggressive and argumentative throughout the entire conversation, and even mixed up the dates of my case entirely.
When I tried to clarify our goals, he began yelling at me to put my husband on the phone instead, treating me as if I wasn't even a person and we ultimately hung up on him due to his sheer hostility. To make matters worse, after we hung up and texted him that we would not need his services and my husband wrote a review he followed up with a harassing and ignorant email.
This interaction left me in tears and caused an immense amount of emotional distress. No potential client deserves to be bullied or degraded like this. I hope he can learn to manage his temper in the future so he does not inflict this kind of treatment on anyone else.
