Avoid if you are a female customer
Very poor customer service, particularly for women, be ware! We had booked a time and a day for a quote, I had arranged work to be home for it. However, he called in the afternoon and I couldn't pick up as I was at work and I replied by texted instead. However he very rudely said he had already gone to see another client, even though it was an hour before our scheduled appointment. He then proceeded to give me attitude by text, while I explained I couldn't pick up the phone during my working hours. Wouldn't let a man like that in my house!
Rob is clearly a very experienced general builder with a sound knowledge of all types of damp proof treatment. He assessed the problem in our living room carefully and came up with a comprehensive treatment, explaining the different options and the advantages of each one. He quoted promptly and competitively. He and Jamie arrived promptly each day as promised and took care to protect the wood floor in our hallway. As the work progressed a couple of issues arose as the existing plasterwork was removed. Rob was happy to discuss all the options available in these situations so that we could agree the best way to proceed. They clearly take pride in their work, taking time to get the best result. They cleaned up afterwards checking I was happy with what they’d done.
Overall I am very pleased with the work and would definitely recommend them.

Rob Young and his team are simply the most knowledgeable, courteous, decent and best group of builders I’ve ever had working in our house.. Following a bad fire in our farm house Rob took all the pain out of refurbishing the damaged rooms. Re-flooring, re-walling, damp proofing and plastering to the highest level - I can’t speak highly enough of his skill and integrity. Couldn’t be happier to recommend him, thank you Rob!
We highly recommend Robert. We asked him to solve a problem of unsightly crumbling plaster on interior walls in an old timber-framed house. Robert treated and re-plastered the walls and solved the problem. He is an experienced, professional and tidy builder with specialist knowledge of damp proofing. It has made such a difference. Bone Dry Damp Proofing were able to solve a damp problem we'd had in our lounge since we bought our new home. They were the only company who quickly identified the problem They then fixed it quickly, with minimal disruption and at a very reasonable price. We have another, larger, project coming up soon and will most certainly be using Bone Dry Damp Proofing again.
