Ik ben absoluut niet positief over Bas Rinjani trekking. De kamer van de nacht voor vertrek zat vol met schimmel, en leek al weken niet gelucht. Met een nacht lang schimmel inademen slaap je slecht. De tenten die wij en onze gids en porter meekregen waren allebei hartstikke lek. Het water kwam van onderen, de zijkant en van boven door de tent heen. 50cm2 van onze tent was nog droog, dus daar hebben we samen met z'n tweeën uren zitten wachten tot het droog was. In het regenseizoen moet je er op kunnen vertrouwen dat de organisatie een waterdichte tent meegeeft, en dat was absoluut niet het geval. De matrasjes waren dun en niet waterbestendig, dus ook die waren doorweekt. De hoofdlampen die we huurden stopten regelmatig met werken. Voor een eerlijke, gedeeltelijke refund waren ze niet bereikbaar. Al met al vind ik dus dat de basics enorm slecht geregeld zijn voor een hike in het donker en in het regenseizoen. Boek alsjeblieft bij een ander bedrijf, wij leken de enigen op de berg met een lekke tent en een slechte ervaring.

De eerste nacht in een warme, vochtige kamer vol schimmel doorgebracht, in het lelijkste hotel van Lombok. De tweede nacht waren we helemaal doorweekt, bij 5 graden Celsius, omdat de tent vol met gaten zat, zonder fatsoenlijk grondzeil of matje om ons droog te kunnen houden. Kijk één stap verder, want andere bedrijven letten hier wel op en we hebben zat hikers gesproken die bij andere bedrijven een goede ervaring hadden.

The organization of the tour was very good. Everyone was on time and things worked out without problems. Our guide Adi was the best, he helped us when we were struggling and helped us to find solutions when there were issues. The porters are impressive, with all the wheight they carry and the food they make. The food was pretty good given the conditions! Adi always had snacks with him for the way. The only thing was that we sometimes had to wait until we got more water, although we had been told there would always be enough water. The tents were okay, pretty big but the mattress was hard to sleep on. All in all a very challenging experience (I did the 3D2N, which in my opinion is a lot harder than the 2D1N because you also walk down to the lake and hot springs) but worth the pain! Wow, what an experience! One of the most amazing hikes I have ever done. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t easy in the slightest, but was worth every second. The view from the summit was breathtaking and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. The process of booking was seamless and we had pretty good communication throughout the 3 days. We were fed, looked after and guided by some amazing people. A special mention to our personal guide Irpandi who was the most caring, supportive and experienced guide. We couldn’t have asked for a more friendly and reliable person to trek with. We felt safe the whole time we were with him and would recommend anyone to trek with him. He really is an amazing person. Terima kasih banyak Irpandi you are an absolute LEGEND 💪⭐️(see the photo for an unforgettable moment on the summit) thanks again to all the team and god bless you all 👊

Really enjoyed this experience. The only down side was that there was a miscommunication about the head torches so didn't have one for the hike up to the summit. But the food was incredible! And I had the best time

Great experience on the 2d 1n Senaru Crater trek. Challenging walks each day but had a lovely extended time on the crater rim to chill. Felt very well pampered by the guide and porters who cooked us excellent meals and provided plenty of snacks and hot drinks

Amazing Rinjani Trip With Bas Rinjani Team for My Family Me and My little Family have Gone to Mt Rinjani last Sunday 7th August 2023 We have plan this Family trip for 3 Days and 2 Night before with targeting of Summit Rinjani 3726 Masl especially for my Little Son. We gone with Mr Bas Rinjani Trekking Team, with our humble Guide "Awal". We booked this trip with Mr Bas and helped us plan this trip carefully in advance since June 2023. Via email he gave details of the trip we were going to take and various preparations, and then we communicated via his Whatsapp at +6281236609084. On the same day, we walked with two other groups (from Bas Rinjani Organizer) but different guides and Porters, because Mr Bas said, they were a Group Sharing Package (with 5 to 7 people on a group) and it was impossible for us to join the group because they were adults. which will probably run faster than us who bring children. It feels like the Private Family package is the right choice for us to take because we can arrange a trip with a flexible time and rhythm. This's our first trip to Mt Rinjani. And in the end it didn't match our expectations which might be too much to be able to reach the top of Rinjani, because our little son was unable to continue the journey so he decided to return the next day. Not because of the fault of the management of Mr Bas Company, but it was more up to us it was our choice not to continue even though the Guide had worked hard to motivate us. We highly recommend this Company, because it has a management and service that we think is very good. Someday we promise to return to this very beautiful Rinjani, with the target of being able to reach the top of Rinjani and the lake which is very beautiful when viewed from the Rim. Although we saw some trash scattered in several places along the road. Thanks Mr Bas and Team.

Pros: Food was healthy and not bad tasting We got up the summit Cons: Very small portion sizes when it comes to food. Not enough snacks for everyone and meals were so minimal that we were all left hungry. Not organized when it comes to fast and slow walkers: the guide was not clear about where we can stop. He told us we must wait at every rest stop for no reason. Bad planning: had to wait an hour and a half to eat lunch when we could have just went to the hot spring. The idea to go to the hot spring while waiting wasn't even given, it just wasted our time and we missed sunset at the second campsite as a result. Bad communication: the tour guide Endiy doesn't speak good English or doesn't really try to listen to concerns, like getting a bamboo stick. It also felt like he was trying to get us not to do 3 days like we paid for. No first aid!!! We told our debriefing guide to rent headlamp and walking stick but apparently it never came Food not on time, took way too long to prepare. We just decided to skip lunch on our last day because we were almost back Guide was basically useless. We basically went up to the summit entirely on our own. There was no need for a guide since the path is so well marked and there's so many people going, except to translate needs to the porters.

Basic services were provided but not much else. We were put in a 3d2n tour even though we were a 2d1n tour by mistake. We told them this before starting but they said it was fine and then sent us down the mountain on our second day without a guide who continued on with the rest of the group. The guide was pleasant but no extra information given e.g. about the mountain or surrounding area. We were promised air conditioned transfers and multiple snacks but were not provided that. Food was bare minimum of breakfast/lunch/dinner with the only extra snack being a packet of biscuits to share between 5 of us, just not enough when you're doing such a gruelling trek. The owner was quite rude to us and kept accusing people of lying when they stated jackets or poles were included in their tour, demanding proof. Finally our driver at the end tried to get us to buy significantly overpriced(over 150000 IDR more than standard price) transfer tickets to gili islands from his friend at the port because he delivered us too late for the public boat. You are better off paying a little more to go with a better company
