Rhinoplasty
I am about 2 months post rhinoplasty with Dr.Bartlett. The whole process was perfect. Every person I had to deal with including the nurses, anesthesiologist and of course Dr.Bartlett were so professional, kind and caring. The recovery was much easier than I ever imagined . My nose looks amazing &. natural-exactly how I wanted it. Dr.Bartlett and his team are truly the best of the best, the only thing I regret is not doing this sooner!
Dr. Bartlett came highly recommended both by several friends and many others online anecdotally in my research preparing for top surgery. I chose him based on the feedback I’d heard about his reputation and expertise (including some aspects about his work in particular that appealed to me, such as not using drains, and having pictures of results on his website), and the high quality of his practice overall.
Based on my experience, I completely agree with this assessment. From scheduling the initial consultation, to the day of my operation, Dr. Bartlett and his team — including the office staff and staff at Longwood Plastic Surgery — were wonderful to work with: they were so helpful, responsive, and kind, and made the whole process easy and stress-free, which I especially appreciated as this was my first major surgery. Dr. Bartlett himself is very knowledgeable and knows how to make his patients feel comfortable, seen, and heard. His work is excellent; my recovery was easy (something I’d also heard from others who had surgery with him), and I’m so pleased with the results. As of writing this, I’m admittedly only a couple of months post-op, and while I know I won’t see the full extent of my results until later, I’m looking forward to if everything looks and feels this good now. Likewise, I haven’t had too many questions or needed much post-op, but I know I’ll be in good hands if I ever do.
Ultimately, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go to Dr. Bartlett for top surgery. In this political and social climate increasingly hostile to trans rights, individuals and organisations are revealing their true colours, for better and worse — I’m grateful to know there are providers like him who are still committed to compassionate, affirming, and quality care.

I'm Completely Numb and I Regret Having Surgery
I am currently 8 and a half years post op for double incision and I would not recommend Dr Bartlett. I have complete numbness across most of my chest, and extra uncomfortable numbness right below my armpits. I was 17 when I had surgery, and while I was warned about losing sensation in my nipples, I do not feel that I was adequately informed about the possibility of losing sensation across my entire chest and I am really quite disappointed. I have 2 other friends who also went to Dr Bartlett for their double incision surgeries and they also experience similar levels of numbness to me, which is much higher than some of my friends who had top surgery elsewhere. I strongly urge others to consider another doctor if you choose to take the risk and pursue this surgery.
I went to Dr. Bartlett for my rhinoplasty. I am currently 1 week post op and I could not be happier. In addition to perfect results, Dr. B & the entirety of his staff is extremely personable, caring and dedicated. Alana (one of the nurses) held my hand while they put my IV in because i was scared lol. They’re the best! Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect nose 🤍
I had gender affirming top surgery with Dr. Bartlett and I have no regrets. He is an incredibly skilled surgeon, kind and confident in a reassuring way, and has a fantastic team around him to support at every step of the way. My results are great and my recovery has been largely pain-free and very smooth. With my BCBS insurance, the surgery was basically free as well. I am very grateful and recommend him highly.

Dr Bartlett and his staff have been wonderful! As an experienced RN I had high expectations in a surgeon, from the moment I called the secretary was so friendly able to book my consult quickly. During the consultation, all of my questions were answered so thoroughly with patience and Dr. Bartlett really put me at ease with regards to the surgery. I had a breast lift with augmentation post pregnancy and he restored my youth and even better than I anticipated I feel back to myself and feel so comfortable in my skin now they really helped me with sizing to have cosmetically a nice result while also keeping a functional body type that I can maintain being a mom with two young kids. The surgery itself went smooth like butter and got home and only had to take Tylenol. The staff were wonderful with dealing with my medical leave, and got all my paperwork completed the same day I requested. All the follow ups have been simple and I couldn’t have asked for a better result and team to work with.

Dr. Bartlett and his team did a fantastic job making me feel comfortable as soon as I stepped into the office. I felt very safe and at ease before and after the procedure, even despite my initial anxiety going in (I had never had general anesthesia before FTM top surgery). The care that I received in the weeks following my surgery was also incredible--I had no complications, but I did have some concerns about things like itching, numbness, etc and when I messaged the nurse to make sure this was normal, I received quick, thorough responses that immediately put me at ease. I am now 2.5 months post-op and could not be happier with my results. If you are looking to get top surgery and want to work with the absolute best, see Dr. Bartlett. My life has been changed for the better by his incredible work.

I was a difficult case because I had a severely deviated septum and a crooked nose. I searched for 5 years to find the right plastic surgeon to help me and Dr. Bartlett was absolutely the correct choice! Dr. Bartlett was the first doctor I saw that was confident that he could help me and answered all of my questions. He is a great listener, has a quiet confident demeanor about him, and made me feel extremely comfortable. The procedure went as he explained and during the recovery I didn't even need the prescribed pain killers. My nose is now straight, my breathing and sinus issues are greatly improved, and my septum no longer sticks out beyond my nose. It really does NOT GET BETTER than Dr. Bartlett!!!!!! My family member has a very bad facial trauma, he reconstructed her 100% to her original shape & she healed in less than a week with NO PAIN KILLERS! After the major surgery too!
