Great Tour for Family We had a fantastic tour with our guide, Joanna. Communication was great with the company in regard to booking and pick up. Joanna was engaging and accommodating. She found "fat" sheep and fields of Lupines so we could get some photos. She adjusted the tour to allow us to stay a little longer at sites we were more interested in. We were on a tight time schedule because we were leaving for a cruise but she got us to the terminal on time. She was very knowledgeable about the sites and Iceland and we really enjoyed the tour with her.

Just GO!!! The first time was 2011, for 8 days rented a car and went up the side of the Eyjafjallajokull volcanos remains. We drove all over the place it is one of my favorite places on earth. Everyone we met was warm, friendly, and inviting. When our rental couldn't make it past the missing road, the guy who's driveway we ended up in offered up his jeep, so we could continue our journey. UNHEARD OF!! The people are lovely, its clean, they all speak english. We stayed in a guest house (its someone apt) and from its balcony saw the Northern lights The countryside is amazingly beautiful. You dont necessarily NEED a car, but we like the freedom to explore. . We returned 4/2023, (not 4/24 dropdown only went back to Aug) for only 5 days, on our way to the UK. This time we did not rent a car, we did an organized tour in a superjeep, to tour the inside of a ice glacier. The amount of tourist this go round was mind blowing. In 2011 there were 6 of us on the plane. This time 90+% of the plane was tourists. I say this bc the Keflavik airport is NOT big enough to handle this many ppl. They are planning a major reno, not sure when it will be finished. We stayed in a hotel, across from the bay on the main drag in Reykjavik. It had a GREAT bakery and restaurant on the 1st floor. We stayed on the 2nd floor facing the water. It was beautiful. HOWEVER if you actually want to sleep, get a room in the back. The locals were piss drunk and screaming bloody murder right under our window. I would say the vibe has changed a bit from 2011. Now there are MANY more things geared specifically for tourists. (Make friends w a local and find out there they eat and hang out! ) If you are on the fence @ going GO!! You will not regret it.

Mediocre Experience For the price paid for a small group tour, I don't think this tour was an extraordinary experience. I have previously gone with tour groups in northern Norway, and the guides are always enthusiastic about finding new places to scout for the lights or show interesting topographic features around the area while waiting for the aurora to show. While there were clear skies, our tour guide Palli simply drove us 15 minutes out of Reykjavik and parked on the side of the road. We stayed in this single spot, which was obstructed by power lines and road traffic barriers, for the duration of the tour. There was little to no engagement with the guests, and others even mentioned their disappointment with the experience.

A wonderful tour not to be missed. This tour was an absolute highlight on our trip. Adrian was fabulous and so knowledgeable. Waterfalls, geyser and hot springs were wonderful and the lunch was delicious. Highly recommend this tour.

Great trip with a family of 6 Our day with Palli was awesome - he took great care of us and was full of useful information throughout. We were able to see all of the highlights and he even made a surprise stop for us to see some Icelandic horses up close (which the kids loved). The tour was flexible and not rushed, which made the experience more enjoyable for everyone. Thanks for the fun day! Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the golden circle in a comfortable way.

Great experience Great tour - the guide (Siggi - not sure if that's the right spelling) ensured that we stopped on all the relevant highlights (and a couple of extra ones) and that we had time to see things around. He was also telling us stories about Iceland and each location. The walk through the Katla Ice Cave is simply amazing - and the guide ensure that we were safe and supported to go through it.

Best beef ever Fabulous tour in the ever changing weather of Iceland. This tour sees everything. Remote and beautiful and 40mph winds whipping this small group. We stopped for lunch at a remote resort and surprised we were with fabulous service and the best tasting filet I’ve had. I eat expensive beef from every corner of USA, Europe and Australia and Japan. Iceland holds its own against them all. Come try.

Amazing Experience of the Northern Lights! Amazing company and guide took us to spots that would allow the best ability to see and take pictures of the Northern Lights. This tour guide company was fun, friendly, and very dedicated to ensure everyone had the best experience!

Great tour and a fantastic day! We had a fantastic tour, it was in a good pace, no stress and the guide/driver was explaining everything in a good way. Also he had a good sense of humour so we also had great fun! I would strongly recommend this tour, well worth the money!

Amazing! I am so glad I booked this golden circle tour! Siggi was a great guide and told us lots of great stories as we drove to different sites. Lunch at the farm was delicious (the ice cream was so good!) and Hvammsvik was absolutely magical. Definitely will be choosing Reykjavik Outventure for tours when I come back with my husband!

Highly recommend - this tour is absolutely worth your time and money! This tour was terrific in every sense. The booking process was easy, although they asked us to change our tour date a week before the booking. Fortunately, we were able to accommodate the change and go on the tour. The van was comfortable (roads in Iceland, not so much!), and we appreciated the small group size - there were only six of us on the tour. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the day. He shared so many interesting details about Iceland's fascinating geology, history, and more. He even included a quick stop to feed and pet some beautiful Icelandic horses! Our tour included stops at Geysir, Gullfoss Waterfall, Þingvellir national park, and Hvammsvik Hot Springs. The sea baths were the perfect ending to an amazing day of seeing Iceland's natural beauty.

Great tour, great tour guide! I was lucky enough to go on two tours with Reykjavik Outventure. The south coast tour and the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. I was also incredibly lucky to have both tours guided by Palli, who truly made the experience what it was. Palli was informative, genuinely loved Iceland and his Job, and made sure everyone had the best experience possible. Being able to find out the history behind the scenery from a local changes the perspective of what you see. Thank you Palli! Favourites from the south coast tour was walking behind the water fall and the glacier. Only criticism is tour changed last minute (Via email day before) so we didn't get to experience the viking house but the alternative stop in a different restaurant had amazing food so no complaints.

If we could give zero stars, we would! We booked a (very expensive) private tour with snowmobiling with Reykjavik Outventure. Unfortunately, we did not receive the private tour portion of this package. We were picked up (late) and driven to the base camp for snowmobiling on the glacier. When the snowmobiling was done, we were taken back to Reykjavik. Our driver did offer to stop at one waterfall on the way home and waited in the parking lot as we walked up to it ourselves. We did not receive a private tour, nor receive most of the package as described. We contacted the company afterwards and Bence, the Operations Manager, told us it is up to the guests to make sure everything is experienced on the private tour (what?!). While they agreed we did not receive a private tour - only a ride to snowmobiling and back - they refused to give a partial refund for the portion of the tour we did not receive. This tour was booked through a booking company and our hotel. Both the booking company and hotel agreed that Reykjavik Outventure was acting inappropriately and agreed that we should receive a refund. They both spoke with Reykjavik Outventure separately and were not able to reason with them. In the end, both the booking company and the hotel waived their commission on our booking and gave it to us because they felt bad that Reykjavik Outventure refused to do the right thing. Our hotel has also severed their relationship with Reykjavik Outventure as a result of our experience and will no longer book their guests with this company. Iceland is a beautiful country with a lot to explore. While we encourage everyone to visit the country, we strongly urge you not to use Reykjavik Outventure for any tours in hopes that they will not steal from you as they did us. There are many other reputable tour companies you should use instead. We enjoyed EastWest Iceland a great deal. We also had a good experience with Superjeep Iceland and with Nicetravel Iceland on our last two trips to the country.

Don’t….Do not book aurora tour with this company They are bad people. They don’t care about your experience and memory. They just want your money. Photo done by staff is included in package, but they will give you all kinda reasons not to provide because it’s time consuming for them. Trust me….. make sure you read other reviews. It happens a lot! We don’t have a single photo of aurora because of their lack of professionalism

Amazing, OMG, Breathtaking. Daniel, our driver and guide, was very knowledge and knew how to find the Aroura Boreal as soon as we got out of the city. We were very lucky because it was April 27, 2024 which is very late in the season, any way I was very happy and glad I took this tour, I highly recommend it, its worth the price. The experience seeing the Northern Lights was unreal for me.
