Saturday night I had the pleasure of dining in at the Refuge, we forgot to make a reservation, yet the manager Cici still made sure to make us feel welcomed and have us seated in a timely manor. Before seating we had a pleasant conversation with her where she was able to recommend some food and drinks, She recommended the Ropa vieja nachos and a classic marg pizza which were delicious! For dinner she recommended the short rib pasta special which was also delicious and we had The skirt steak with mash potato, chicken vodka parm, that was delivered table side, and the salmon. The drinks were also really good. My experience was great from the second I stepped foot to when I left. Thank you cici and staff we will be back !
Stopped here while traveling in the area for work. Cool spot for sure. I had the Pistachio Crusted Mahi from their specials menu. It was pretty good, but I was expecting some pistachio flavor, it just felt like it was panco. I was looking for soups and side salads, but none to be found on the menu. I love a soup with dinner. Overall, it was a great dining experience. I would stop here again when in the area for work again.
The restaurant is very big and spacious. They also have an area for private parties. The food is a good portion and delicious. I had the crispy shrimp poboy but my friends had the pasta with chicken, meatballs and sausage. That was really good.
