Avoid if possible
Pros - very close to beach. Good outside area to sit. Close to centre of Benitses. Cons - rooms very dated. Bathroom layout difficult to use (toilet is next to sink, so difficult to sit down). Showers temperamental and hate the shower curtain. Food in the restaurant unimaginative, bland and little choice. Quite an expense to get from the airport in a taxi.
My parents stayed in this hotel at the end of September. The rooms were okay but the problem was the service. First of all, they were charged a lot more for the beach sunbeds and umbrellas than previously stated by the agency that booked the hotel for them. Considering the bad location and not so special place, the prices were too high for what was offered. Now the worst part was that they had paid for late check-out. On the day of the check-out they were told to leave their rooms in the morning and that they would probably get another room later. Kind of ridiculous and extremely unprofessional. They had a tour that day so the whole experience caused a lot of stress and when they went back to the hotel, they had to fight with the manager to get a room that they had already paid for. Obviously, none of this was ideal, considering they had to rush to move their luggage from one place to another before their tour and then again after it. On top of all, they were charged higher tax fees per night and they never got a receipt for anything.
I would recommend avoiding this place if you want to have a nice and calm stay and be respected.
Great holiday experience
My wife Vicki and I thoroughly enjoyed our week’s holiday in September of this year . We found the Hotel accommodation , facility , bars and restaurant plus friendly staff create a truly relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for us . The area of Benitses , a short stroll from the hotel to have a terrific selection of shops , restaurants and friendly bars . We would recommend the Potamaki Beach Hotel and area as an excellent location to holiday .
